The Todd Richards Firing Pool/Squad

Opinion seems to be swaying heavily towards Richards hitting the unemployment office pretty soon. So how about a pool? When does interim coach Michel Therrien take over?

Not that I agree with it necessarily, but I voted end of the year. I see him gone around Thanksgiving time. How do you guys see the Wild doing if they would've hired Laviolette?

I'd say by the trade deadline if NOTHING changes till that date.

If not, then it'd be much earlier than some people thinks.

I'd like to imagine the front office will make a move very soon and see if the season can't be salvaged.

End of the month.

You don't bring in a known winning coach, former Jack Adams nominee, and student of Jacques Lemaire...

...as a scout.

End of the month, for me.

We wouldn't have brought in a relatively big name former coach as a lowly scout if the threat wasn't real.

If we get off to another slow start, Richards can shows his lack of emotion elsewhere.

End of the season. This organization (not to mention state) is too nice to do it when it should be done.

Good thing for us Chuck Fletcher isn't from Minnesota so he doesn't have "Minnesota Nice" (AKA Minnesota Passive Aggressive) instilled in his brain. Fletcher has a demeanor where he expects results. If Richards gets fired within the next few seasons it WILL be before the end of the year, IMO.

If the team starts poorly and continues to look like it did today, you better believe it will be the end of the month.

If the team plays around .500 and are out of it by the deadline; that's my choice.

If the team starts off well and is in position to make the playoffs but falls apart at the end; after the year is over.

If the team makes the playoffs, he'll get another year.

I truly believe he's out within a month however. And I see no scenario where Richards stays with this club for an extended term.

He's from here. It was one of the big "selling points" to the fans that we are getting back to our roots of how Minnesota plays hockey or something.

I voted for end of the year, but I won't be shocked if he doesn't last the month.

Easily. And there's still a bunch of people who haven't voted.

I'm a fan of the Todd Richards Angry Mob myself.

There's this part of me that hopes that, as soon as we're back in the States, Richards is done.

I think he will get a 10 game free pass for the premiere excuses. After that, who knows.

Yesterday's game was a continuation of much of last year: slow, dominated, easily penned in their own zone, incapable of mounting a steady threat.

Richards philosophy of up-tempo forechecking hockey sounds great; I'd like to see it sometime.

Apart from their nice run up to the Olympics, the Wild haven't even been fun to watch for most of Richards' tenure.

I say ... END OF THE MONTH! There are better coaches out there.

I'd be one happy camper if that were to happen. However, I just don't see it coming true though. It would send a very bad message to every other HC out there we would want to get that we won't even give you the full opportunity to succeed here in Minnesota. Richards can still use the scapegoat of "The team wasn't even compiled last year and I had to use prospects just to fill the voids." This year. Not so much. Which is why they'll give him until the end of this year. This does upset me regardless because we lose Ramsey because of this.
