Perry scores the 1st one. Garbage goal in front of the net, then starts a fight with Howard

Winnable game if the team decides to push around the diving sissys and use the size of the top line instead of trying to play a finesse game. Sutton hopefully makes his mark here.
Either 6-5 Ducks win or 5-0 Ducks loss with 12-3 PP's in favor of Detroit

If Getzlaf shoots instead of always looking for the pass tonight, we win

I put some cash on the Ducks, so kick Detroit's ass!

The OC register says Belesekey will play but I don't like the line combinations they say RC was using this morning...

Belesekey-Getzlaf-Perry
Blake-Koivu-Selanne
Ryan-Marchant-Bodie (WTF?????)
Vorros-Chipchura-Parros

More reason to win this one!

Ryan and Beleskey swapped 1st and 3rd line duties at AM workout.
RC will likely juggle them back to normal duties.
Sbisa, Carter and Voros look to be scratches if morning lines are good indicators.
Thanks to Eric Stephens for updates.

Go Ducks!!!

Since the Ducks are playing back to back games, Carlyle is probably scratching Sbisa so he can be fresh tomorrow in place of Fowler or Mikk, depending on how this game goes.

Expecting a loss in this one, Detroit looked really good in the preseason and are always tough at home. Can't wait for the Chicken little responses if this one gets ugly.

Sbisa as a scratch is surprising...especially in favor of Mikks.

Wrong and wrong

Players can be put on LTIR when they will miss atleast 24 days and 10 regular season games. Players can be put on LTIR retroactively.

The cap hits of players on LTIR will count against the salary cap BUT the team can replace the players on LTIR and go over the cap as long as the cap hits of the replacement players doesn't exceed the cap hit of those on LTIR.

So if a team is spending to the cap and a 1M player is put on LTIR, you can replace the injured player with a player whose cap hit is max 1M as long as the injured player is on LTIR. When he comes back, the replacement player has to go (or some other player to get under the cap).

It's always funny seeing like 5 total Ducks fans at JLA when they play each other. Last game I went to was game 2 in the 09 semifinals. Hoping for similar magic tonight.

Hah, I know what you mean. I went to game 1 of the 09 semifinals and saw two other Ducks fans there. I was almost scared going into the washroom after the game (which we lost) with my Ducks jersey on.

Heh, I didn't mean it like that. It was more being surrounded by drunk Red Wings fans in Detroit...such a shady place. I can't believe anyone would live in that dump of a city.

On a side note, I ran into Drew Miller's family at the game. I saw a family all wearing Miller jerseys during the first intermission. My first thought was "it's rare enough to see Ducks fans here, but Ducks fans wearing Miller jerseys? Who buys a Miller jersey...I mean besides his family". I then approached them and sure enough, it was the Miller family. Very nice people.

I think it's only 3 weeks. Or twenty something days.

Edit: I see it was already answered above and is 24 days.

I agree that Sbisa is better off in the minors than being in the press box.

If that's really the reason then RC is a moron. If Sbisa can't handle back to back games he should just be sent down. Back to backs are a big part of this league, especially for Anaheim. He isn't a goalie so he shouldn't be treated like one.

Is it even confirmed that he's going to be scratched tho?

I was just basing it on the line combos that were posted. He better not be scratched.
