Obviously it's 2 games, but if the Ads make a pretty good run, do anyone of you see Tik maybe getting a legit shot at the backup job next year? This is 2 seasons of solid AHL play for him + maybe a good Calder run on top of it.

I want him too. If he goes on a tear, I think him given a back up role would suit him just as much as tearing up the AHL again. Hes getting close to being NHL ready. Him as a back up next year and him starting for the ADS is the same for development wise next year. Wouldn't mind bringing him in and back up Roli. Roloson will probably do a good job mentoring the kid.

Glad they are doing well!

I dont think we see Tik yet. Yzerman learned from DET that there is no need to rush him and him getting games is more important than being a backup. But the positive would be Rolosons mentoring

With his team eliminated, Lightning prospect Carter Ashton’s junior career is now complete. The former Lightning first rounder, who already holds an NHL contract, can join the Norfolk Admirals if the organization so chooses. Next season he’ll be competing for a spot with the big club out of camp.

Apparently Berry, Angelidis, Durno, Szczechura, Ritola and Jones will all miss the game tonight. They need all the extra bodies they can get, so I'm surprised if they haven't assigned Ashton already.

Is there any concern that Panik will not sign with the Lightning? Has anybody heard anything about him?

Not that the organization really NEEDS him, but it seems strange that he apparently went to the WC's without the approval of Lightning management, to my knowledge that is.

Also, is Carter Ashton heading to Norfolk? Considering he was relatively pedestrian there last year are they holding him out?

Pretty sure Yzerman let him go to the WC because is in his country, if not he would be playing in Norfolk.

And I hope we sign him, he's gonna be a good player

Norfolk April 20th game Alex Hutchings

For those that didn't see the game, Alex Hutchings played more like himself after battling injuries this past year. The commentator talked about how impressed he was with his play and even said he wanted to call his daughter to meet him lol No points but worked hard in the corners, lots of hits and some great opportunities that weren't quite converted.

Connolly jumps from 27 to number 8 on HF's top 50 prospects.
Does he have a chance to sneak onto the roster next season?

If he has an amazing camp I could see him getting 9 games in.

Panik has been cut from Team Slovakia. None of the coaches made mention of it in the media but it was touched on briefly in the broadcast of the Slovakia-Austria exhibition game.

Looks like he was cut to make room for Gaborik.

Game 6 highlights. They also have the other games.

But how did the refs not blow the play dead on the first goal with a player down.

Considering Gaborik's playoff play Slovakia downgraded.

Actually, while it is unconfirmed the reason why Pánik´s not there anymore seems to be chickenpox. Btw is there any word on the Lightning signing him? I though they would have signed him by now.....

EDIT: So acc. to an interview he gave to hokejportal he´s healthy after all.....and he also mentioned that there are negotiations going on about his ELC....
