I dont think 30 is a crazy number hes showed hes capable of it so ill say yes. One things for sure we NEED him to score 30 to take some of the load off of gabby.

Is there something i have to hit to vote? as u can see im a rook, thanks.

poll no work

but it appears i'd be the first "no" vote

id love to be wrong...god i hope im wrong

but players dont come here and surpass their career averages, and even if you dont include his rookie year he's averaged about 25 goals

i dont see him passing that mark this year

I hope so I drafted him on one of my fantasy teams.

In reality, if Prospal had as good a year as he had last year with Gabby and our commity of below par centers, then i dont see why Frolov cant eclipse Vinnys numbers over a full 82. Dont get me wrong I like Vinny alot and last year he was a blessing but Frolov has equal passing skills and a bit more of a nose for the net. If Fro scored 20 on LAK's 3rd line then I dont think its a hard stretch for him to reach 30+ here.

30, I dont think so but 20? Absolutely.

I think 26-27 goals with 60+ points if he plays with Gaborik most of the year.

Considering he was set up in a terrible situation last year and still scored 19, and that he'll be getting first line minutes with Gaborik, and that he's broken the 30 goal mark several times in his career, and he's in a contract year, I think it's very likely despite us not having a real 1C at the moment.

^ i agree...i might be slightly more conservative than you on the total points but we're on the same page

he should be a solid addition to this offense, which desperately needed a solid addition....but i'd hate for people to turn on him when he's on pace for 25 goals and not 35-40

Well our team doesn't distribute minutes in a manner thats really conducive to 30 goal scorers as much as it is to a lot of 20 goal scorers.

Our only 30 goal scorers since 02-03 (I think) Have been Jagr and Gaborik. Two superstars. Shanny came here from scoring 40 and scored 28.

I think that has to do a lot with the fact that we roll the top 3 lines with relative equity. So guys like Callahan that might not be 20 goal scorers on other teams get it here, and guys like Frolov who pot 30+ elsewhere might get 25 here.

very nicely put

i've been trying to say something similiar

in addition to that, we havent had a great powerplay recently to pad their stats

Thinking anywhere from 25 to 28, he may not crack 30.

Petr Prücha in 05/06 got 30. It seems like you are right about the minutes thing, but everyone said before Tortorella got here he rides the top line, but I haven't really seen that.

I'd say about 25 for Frolov this year

I think he gets around 25 and around 60-65 points. Pretty good season.

Everyone has to understand something about Frolov last year with the LA kings his ice time was cut down by a 1/3rd and he was not playing with the top line... reason being there was some beef between him and Terry Murray...

With Torts and on a first line with gabby at his opposite end will be awesome... i am predicting at least 30 if not closer to 40...

Around there. Very difficult to tell given the uncertainty at center.

If he scores more than 30, then I would expect the Rangers to make the playoffs.

He has shown great chemistry with a few linemates including Gabs and anisimov however I don't think we;ve seen enough and I'm still wary of the fact that so many people label him as a guy who takes time off. We haven't seen that but later in the season who knows.

If I had to bet money I'd put it on yes. ut it wouldn't be a heavy bet I could tell you that.

I'd be shocked if he doesn't hit 25.

He has the talent and skill to get 30 goals.. Also, having Gaborik on his line always helps.. lol..

It seems 30 goals is the benchmark these days for a top line goal scorer in the NHL. I am willing to guess there was maybe 20-25 (30) goal scorers in the NHL last year??

I think its definitely possible for Frolov to hit 30 goals, given that hes going to be playing with Gaborik and getting top line minutes again. Also gotta agree with everyone saying hell probably top out at around 60-65 points.
