As per Maindot "Come check out Sunday's stream against the POWERHOUSE Hershey Bears."

Sundays game 12-26-2010 is Binghamton against the Adirondack Phantoms.

Not the Hershey Bears.................................

That left the B-Sens in need of a backup for their game tonight against the Adirondack Phantoms, so they have signed Daren Machesney to a professional tryout..........

The power still isn't on at my place and the new landlords said it won't be on till tomorrow and NYSEG wouldn't give a time. So, I'm going to try and sneak my desktop up here to the office for tomorrow's game. I'll let you know if a stream is avail.

I dunno if I'd be excited for Brodeur to have a chance to play or if the defence will take the night off and he will risk being shelled.

Hey all - there's an issue with my landlords and the access point that I can't set up the game for streaming. Sorry about the confusion but these problems will persist until next Monday when I will be on an 8 - 5 schedule. If anyone here is familiar with VNC, RDP, and virtual machines I will gladly utilize your abilities to administer the stream while I'm at work. Or, I can show you how I do it and one of you could stream the game. In any event, good luck to B-Sens tonight.

With 2010 in the books I think it's worth taking a look at the prospects in Binghamton this season. I've broken down the performance of rookies more thoroughly since their adjustment to the pro game is of interest. Thoughts and comments are always welcome.

Rookies
Forwards

Bobby Butler 32-18-9-27 +3
Oct 9-7 -4 Nov 14-15 +6 Dec 8-5 +1
The only rookie who didn't require an adjustment period, he was lights out the first two months of the season, but has cooled off ever so slightly in a busy December. Butler's pro curve is to continue scoring, but it remains to be seen if he can make that transition from the AHL to the NHL.
Colin Greening 33-11-11-22 +6
Oct 8-2 -3 Nov 14-12 +6 Dec 11-8 +3
Like most of the rookies, Greening had a tough start to the season finding his way in the lineup, but for the past two months he has been excellent. He's capable of playing anywhere and that versatility should help his cause with Ottawa's brass.
Roman Wick 33-4-10-14 even
Oct 9-0 -5 Nov 14-9 +6 Dec 10-5 -1
A lot more was expected of Wick when he arrived, but he had a tough time adjusting to the North American game. After going pointless his first 10 games Wick has found his rhythm (23-14), but at this point it will take other intangibles for him to get a sniff in the NHL.
Mike Hoffman 31-3-6-9 -13
Oct 9-2 -2 Nov 12-4 -3 Dec 10-3 -8
Lot's of skill, but he continues to struggle defensively. I think Hoffman's main problem is that (like Wiercioch) has hasn't fully grown into his body. Only Lehner and Wierioch are younger, so the future remains bright despite the ups and downs.
David Dziurzynski 30-0-4-4 -8
Oct 6-0 -1 Nov 13-1 -2 Dec 11-3 -5
A coach favourite, he's spent much of the season on the fourth line playing with a lot of energy. Coming from the BCHL it's impressive that Dziurzynski has kept other prospects (particularly Cowick and Bailey) on the bench with his work ethic.
Corey Cowick 1-0-0-0 even
ECHL 13-2-3-5 -6
He was kept with Bingo for almost all of October before being sent down--barring injury, Elmira seems like the place he'll stay.

Defencemen
Patrick Wiercioch 30-1-3-4 -9

Oct 8-1 -3 Nov 12-1 -7 Dec 10-2 +1
It has been a difficult adjustment for Wierioch. Tall and lanky, he hasn't filled out yet and as the youngest player (besides Lehner) on the team there's plenty of slack for him to improve.
Eric Gryba 27-0-2-20-2
Oct 6-0 -4 Nov 13-2 +5 Dec 8-0 -3
Gryba's had a decent rookie season. He's not expected to be a point producer, but to play a safe, physical game. The numbers game (with Hale in the lineup) currently works against him, so playing time will be at a premium going forward.

Goaltender
Robin Lehner 10-3-5-1 2.69 0.913 2 SO

Oct 0-1-0 Nov 5-1-3-0 Dec 4-2-1-1
Bouncing between Ottawa and Binghamton early in the season made it hard for Lehner to get into a rhythm. He had a rocky start, but was starting to hit his stride when he was loaned to Sweden for the WJC.

Prospects
Forwards

Erik Condra 34-11-19-30 +13
It's been a fantastic sophmore season for the former NCAA star.
Jim O'Brien 33-12-13-25 +10
It's difficult to imagine a bigger turn around than O'Brien's this year--his call-up to Ottawa was (I think) a reward for all his hard work.
Kaspars Daugavins 29-7-11-18 +1
He had a terrible November, but has since turned it around.
Zack Smith 22-7-5-12 +3
If Ottawa can create a little roster space he won't be back in Bingo.
Cody Bass 25-1-3-4 -6
He plays hard, but....
Jason Bailey 12-0-0-0 -1
The only player who hasn't passed him on the depth chart is Cowick.

Defenceman
Geoff Kinrade 33-3-10-13 +5
Has played well in his sophmore season, but isn't sporting the same freakish plus/minus he had with Bingo last year.
Craig Schira 31-2-5-7 +5
An up and down year for Schira thus far, but the effort is there.

no surprise. The Sens don't play until Friday and they need all the cap room they can get. If Lecaire is still hurt, Brodeur gets the call back on Friday. The surprise is that Z Smith is still up. Looks like he's there to stay.

Very true on the Cap Kickabrat, every $$$ helps.

I am a bit surprised on Zack staying up just for cap savings.

Sending Zack down would have resulted in a modicum of cap savings.

I had to look that word up................

Let's hope Ottawa starts to play better soon..................................

I did not know of this "Ryan Nie" you speak of. Thanks to Joy for keeping us in the loop. You know someday I'd like to see a "Recalled/Assigned" thread with Joy's name on it - saying she got called up to work for the Sun or Team1200. She deserves a shot at the big league.
