There's still people who actually defend me (though I haven't defended anything in years)!

"Let's be honest stretching is about all I can do for any team above a beer league."

"Wow they're not putting me on the ice are they? I hope they realize I can't actually play anymore."

"Hopefully people won't care as much if I suck here. It'll be a godsend to not have to scrape paper bags filled with dog sh** off the front door"

My comments were about the motivation behind creating a thread for the purpose of ridiculing the fact that this guy is in the AHL now.

I think the motivation is pathetic and I fail to see how it's funny. And it's been a while now anyway; those who get their kicks out of kicking this guy are beating a dead horse.

I'm not and never was a Redden fan per se, and I think he's exactly where he deserves to be, but I respect him as an athlete, and it just wouldn't occur to me to find his demise funny, let alone go out of my way to ridicule the guy. But that's just me.

See above.
I think it's more about the catharsis after all we've been through as fans in relation to him and even Drury and Roszi. It's also just a bunch of guys trying to have a good laugh. If you think it's just about attacking the man you're missing the point although I do understand your point too.
