This has to be a joke... Gilroy converted to defense when he was 20 and is still adapting to the position. You're telling me that a 35 year old forward coming off of an injury filled season will be able to play defense and not be a liability?
a center is the most defensively responsible forward so its not like the guy would be a complete buffoon back there. would def be a slap in the face to gilroy/eminger tho
He's a scratch so he was practicing as a d-men so the forward corps can get in sync. I wouldn't look into this that much. It's more of Spector showing his rookie journalism.
Big deal. So theyre seeing if he's completely lost or if they could use him on the PP on the point. The more versatile he is, the better chance he will either crack this lineup or find himself a job with another team.

Anyone else notice the jumbled lines starting during game 2..... didnt take long for Torts to get the itch. I like Torts, I do wish he would just let lines stay set for a few games.
Doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Would rather see a young-buck go through some growing pains this year at that position than gamble on a dinosaur who I feel deserves to be in Hartford. And I don't really dislike White either. I think we have better alternatives than him.
