I can't remember any particular play where he would of gotten hurt and I thought it did show him on the bench between the 3rd and OT..

Wait, I thought he played the OT... who started with Spezza up front on the 4 on 4? Thought it was Alfie-Spezza-Phillips-Gonchar.

There was that very violent shove where he went sideways into the boards at full speed.

Yeah I believe that was on the shift right after Shannon tied things up.

I think this is it, he looked to be grimacing in pain when fell to the ice

wow, really facing adversity early this year. This is great!

Mission for Bryan Murray in 2011 is to find a impact forward at some point before next season starts. With Kovalev gone we'll have the cap space and we need to get fresher in the top-6 (kovalev and Alfie 38 this year)

MSP over Cowen would have been a start...

Excellent news . Seriously, though hope it's not too serious, he's a great player.

Hm, wouldn't think it would be too serious, but bad news nonetheless.

Ya i was there at the draft in Montreal. I really wanted MPS but was surprised when I saw that Cowen was still there. When it came to 8th draft pick and they didn't get Cowen, i was in big hesitation mode. I totally understand why they didn't pass on him. I don't think we will regret having Cowen much...

We have Wiercioch, Rundblad, Karlsson who can be very good all-around but mainly offensive D-men, but who do we have for the defense side of things? Carkner is a stop gap and Phillips isn't eternal

Glad we have Cowen. There are many ways to find forwards. We need a Mike Cammalleri type. Too bad Montreal outbid us.

After the game, Alfredsson said he doesn't feel too bad but will wait to see how he feels tomorrow. He missed OT with a lower-body injury.

Why do we get soooo many injuries!?! So frustrating. He should be good to go for Thursday though.
