I really like what I've seen from the forecheck so far this year.

It's been the key to limiting the opposing team's offense.

Booth is going to get laid out again. He keeps his head down too much, especially coming across the opposing team's blue line.

Watching the game...man you guys are just smothering the Flames. They aren't offensive powerhouses or anything, but this is just a complete shutdown.

I can't remember a single good Calgary shot on goal.

Far cry from my Ducks.

Btw, you guys got a good one in Santorelli.

Because of the forecheck, mostly. Through these first three, it seems as though we've taken the puck away a lot when the opposition has it in their own zone.

Pure domination right now. We need to score again soon though, or this could get ugly.

This team is aggressive forecheck, consistent backcheck. I always see the Cs coming back hard. Looks like a lunch-pail/blue collar squad. I gotta say I like the new-look Cats.

The thing we have complained about in past seasons is a lack of cohesiveness, chemistry, and identity.

This team seems to have it this season. Ok chemistry is lacking a bit still (especially that top line) but the bottom lines are clicking nicely. The identity is forming in the way we play. I hope we keep it up. I've really enjoyed watching these games this early season, even the losses because we've played consistently.

the positive is that it's actually carried on for 3 straight games, losing or winning..which is good to see

This, my friends, is the fabled "puck-possession hockey."

We have finally found it.

Give us some goals, and we have a really strong team.

Thanks for your two cents man! It's funny because I have never noticed so many people from other teams boards coming here to give us a pat on the back. Then again we haven't had this hard working forecheck type team in quite a while. I hope it is just the beginning of good things to come for years.
