It looks like the two forward callups were either RW or C. Didn't JohnnyMac move Zharkov to the left side in training camp?

That would be crazy if he did - Zharkov is a right handed shot and a defensive player to boot.

He's listed on the RW for Albany, I could of sworn he was playing on the left during camp, because I was confuzzled on why. But then I could just be confuzzled.

I don't doubt he was in camp - so many bodies and having to form some lines he probably did play some left side. I would just say it's kinda silly to make him play LW if he comes up. Especially given our depth at LW.

I think Zharkov and PLL got the shaft this time around because of how thin the Devils are at center and how strong they are at wing. Why call up a wing who can only get 3rd (but really 4th) line minutes? With YaYo and Sestito, there are now 4 guys on the bottom two lines who could play center. Now if Arnott or Zajac get injured, you can slide Zubrus, YaYo or Mair up without a problem. Even Sestito could (and did last year) play 3rd line center. So, this gives MacLean way more roster flexibility than calling up Zharkov or PLL.

I just checked back at the camp lines. He was on the left side. That's why I assumed he didn't come up -- that they had switched him to the left side.
I hope he makes it up at some point.

I rather see Tallinder with Urbom, Greene with White and bottom pairing of Taromina and Corrente.

I think the reason you won't an Urbom-Tallinder pair is because they don't trust playing Urbom 20 mins a night. Even if I would like to see it as well.

I'm still disappointed with Tallinder if anything. That guy has been a turnover machine. Him and Greene have been awful so far.

No he doesn't, Corrente's hockey IQ rivals only that of Clarkson. The guy makes some downright stupid choices sometimes. Not rookie mistakes, just awful choices.
Aggressive behavior should not only be tolerated, it should be welcomed!

Looks good. That 4th line is going to be a pain in the ass to play against.
I can dig that lineup for sure. Good sandpaper and that 3rd line did good things in the preseason. I can't wait to see YaYo in a real game.

We have games against three teams that don't have much more than a middleweight and a pest or two coming up, so I'm not really bummed that Leblond isn't back yet. With Volchenkov still out a little flexibility on D is better. I wouldn't be surprised if he's back for the Rangers and makes the western trip to possibly play SJ, LA and Anaheim.

I just hope he's ready. I have my doubts, but we'll see. Would be nice if he could win some faceoffs.

I think you've asked that in every Salvador and now Rolston related thread.

Player gets injured. It is determined he will miss a lot of time. You designate him for LTIR, he must miss at least 10 games or 24 days. You can exceed the salary cap by the amount of that player's salary if replacing him would put you over the cap.

Parise - Zajac - Langenbrunner (proven good)
Kovalchuk - Zubrus - Clarkson (Kovy can freelance no this line)
Elias - Arnott - JJ (keep it simple for JJ on the wing)
Pelley - Mair - Tito

I highly doubt they called up Josefson to play him out of position. They could have recalled a winger if they wanted a winger. They're also not likely to completely rearrange the lineup after they finally had a decent game and won.

Are you saying Johnny Mac learned nothing from Lemaire? Kidding aside, it's just what I think would work and aside from JJ, those players have had some effective periods together this year.

No Kovy and Clarkson on the same line please. Clarkie kills enough good offensive chances on the 3rd line, no need for him to shut down Kovy too.
