We always seem to struggle against the Rangers, mainly because they are good defensively and we can't score against Lundqvist. I think friday is the night we get our first loss and I think we loose 3-2. I really hope i'm wrong. Kessel needs to come up big if we have any chance... the 2nd line won't carry us for another game imo... we really need to get that 1st line going.

I couldn't do up a nice one while at work!

I'll whip one up for tomorrow's GDT if no one else is taking it.

Because the best aspect of his game is his ability to move the puck. He's not a big scorer, he's a puck mover. He's a guy who will retrieve pucks and make a nice outlet pass or skate it out of the zone. He isn't a guy who will run your PP or create a ton of offense from the back-end.

Yeah, that's not the point I was making there, but ok?

Sequin? Yeah, he would have been THAT (eric stall, rick nash) player for us...we have whiny boy if I dont get my way, i vacation in the hamptons Phillip Kessell instead. hes still pretty good though.
If you think "Sequin" is anywhere near Crosby, you are in for a rude awakening. He'll be lucky to be as good as Kessel, frankly. As for Eric "Stall", which one do you mean? The 100 point Cup winning one or the one ever since then?

Luckily we don't have this Phillip Kessell guy, he sounds awful.

Could be wrong but the Leafs never really seem to play well at MSG. I predict a low scoring game.

Am I only one looking at Rags lineup and thinking they are worse this year? Their defense this season was awful. I think we can dominate with our newly found speed, draw a lot of penalties and score couple on PP and otherwise.

Depends on how Lundqvist plays. He's capable of stealing games.

Maybe you should learn to write in a way that expresses your actual thought then? You're either saying he's replacing Gunnarsson because of his offense or you're saying Lebda is absolute garbage.

Hey guys, just wondering if Orr is going to play tomorrow night? I am hoping to see a Boogaard vs. Orr fight!

Most likely Gunnarson. Those guys might just split time with each other throughout the season unless one out shines the other.

No point in taking Komisarek out. He struggled the 1st game but he is coming off a long injury and it will take time getting up to speed and it seems RW wants OD-DD pairings throughout which makes sense.

I still think Gunnarson was solid in his game yesterday, so was Komisarek but Lebda is not playing on Friday, most likely the next game after tomorrow.

It will be Gunnarsson. They're trying to work Komisarek back into game shape. Gunnarsson seems to be suffering the sophomore slump. I am astonished at how badly he's passing the puck right now, and that's supposed to be his strength. Could be a lack of focus, some press-box time may not hurt him.

That said, I'm not overly excited about Lebda in the lineup. He's terrible defensively, and beyond his puck-moving abilities, isn't that great offensively either.

Lebda will not be playing until Monday at the earliest.

In that case, I can't see anyone but Gunnar coming out.

Lebda should never go in except for injury.

I have a good feeling about tomorrow. Some of you may ask why? Well I will give you that answer. Last night we won with our top line basically playing like crap. I expect Kessel Bozak and Versteeg to have a much better game. You add in the way our secondary scoring is contributing and Jiggy in net. Come out aggressive like we have been and it should be a win. Go Leafs Go!

You make the GDTs until we lose. Or just keep making them since you're actually really good at it.

Or you might have read the post I was quoting. If either Gunnar or Komi is benched for Lebda, I suggested it'd be Gunnar because he was the offensive Dman of the pair and Lebda isn't known for his defensive prowess.

Of course, you know, you could just be an ass about it instead of apologizing like you're doing now.

Also expecting a strong game from VBK, especially since it was hard to notice them against the Pens.
