The Bruins are looking really good for the future as well. Not even including prospects like Colbourne, Spooner, and Knight, they have the following just for forwards:

Seguin- 18
Krecji- 25
Bergeron- 25
Wheeler- 24
Horton- 25
Lucic- 22
Caron- 19

And, most importantly, they have a great young goaltender in Rask, who is only 23 years old.

If by "brightest future" you're talking the next 5-10 years:

Washington, LA, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Philly.

The Caps have a second waive of blue-chip players coming in Alzner, Carlson, Neuvirth, Johansson, Kuznetsov and Eakin to compliment a core of sub-25 year olds that just became the 1st non-original 6 team to break 120pts.

As a fan of the Leafs, I have to disagree.

They have decent young players on the team right now, but the prospects pool isn't as deep as some other teams. After Kadri, it's mostly third and fourth liners. I heard we are deep at the goalie position, but until I see those guys play on the big pond, it's just words.

Caps won't be able to afford those players in future considering what they have now.
And you can't keep younger players down on the farm forever, will seek out free agency.

3. Washington - Varlamov, Green, Carlson, Ovechkin, Backstrom, & Fleischmann

Those are the clear cut top-3 if you ask me. Other teams have clear wholes like Boston (no young stud defensemen), Edmonton (no young stud goalie or defenseman), Philadelphia (aging defense with no stud young defenseman and no goaltending at all), Chicago (goalie), NYI (goalie), etc.
I find it interesting that you have Pit #1 and then Hawks as having a clear hole (Goalie)

If anything MAF is holding back the Pens ,,, MAF is the Definition of a ? in net

MAF is a very talented young goalie that gets a lot of crap on here (rightly or wrongly so). I'm not a huge MAF fan but he is clearly better then anything in Chicago's system and MAF has shown signs of being an elite goalie (2007-08 Cup Run: 14-6, .933 S%, 3 SO, 1.97 GAA).
