Jonathan Bernier played great in Calgary and we’ve had some great team defense. The team has been playing great defense, our penalty kill has been playing well and I know it is only three games, but it’s something to build off and continue on Friday."

If they give us that, that’s going to be exactly what we need going through the year."

They gave a stat today on HNIC Radio, I may have misheard it so I apologize to the statgeeks if it's wrong. They said since expansion no team has won the Cup without scoring at least 10 points in the first 10 games of the season. They gave out some great stats about how important the first 10 games of the season and how many teams have already had closed door meetings to try and righten the ship.

This should be another 2-1 game, who will win, I hope the Kings, but who knows. Both teams need to stay out of the box because special teams could determine this one.
I have bet the under on every Kings game so far this season and won, despite a shootout and 2 empty net goals (thats hard to do), kind of scared to go to the well again, but with our amazing defense, the play of Quick and the lack of offense does anyone see the teams combining for 6 goals?

I'd assume so ...
Kings have had off since Tuesday, and Quick has played VERY well earning the 1st Star of game in BOTH games he's played so far
... Bernier will get back in next week and the week after when we have TWO back to backs, and face 7 games in 11 days.

Well to quote the Brilliant mind of Dustin Brown ...

I would assume so. But, it wouldn't be a terrible thing to let Bernier play.
I expect Quick to play though.

Sweet, tonight's my first game in attendance of the new season. Too bad I won't be enjoying watching Doughty bury Burrows into the glass.
Go Kings!

i think that's going to describe a LOT of kings games this year. how they fare in one-goal games will determine whether or not they match last seasons' success. and i hope they've been practicing their shoot-out skills, because shoot-out points will be the difference between this team making the playoffs as a lower seed or a division winner.

3-1 to start the season is a whole lot nicer than 2-2. Go Kings!

Yes. Kings have had 2 days off and will have another 4 days off after this game. Quick is in.

I hope we spot Vancouver a 1 goal lead going into the 3rd, then come back and win. British Columbia may implode if the Canucks lose 3 out of 4 games while leading going into the 3rd. And I would laugh
