Comrie is a healthy scratch?

According to mark madden Comrie is a healthy scratch against tor.

Now i think this has to be some kind of off-ice issue, like maybe he has an bad attitude or something cause i did not see any reason to bench him from anything during games.

What do you all think?

Kind of a surprise if true.

I don't think he broke a sweat last game. I guess if sitting, it is a message sender that you can't take games off.

Most likely. I'm okay with that but sit down Adams, Rupp or Dupuis. Don't sit a top 6 winger.

Why is comrie the only veteran player held accountable? How about Talbot? hes played like ass. Or Crosby? who hasnt moved his feet for the last 2 periods of the jersey game. Or how about Fleury who hasnt played well in two years.

This is a pathetic move from a pathetic coach. I hope we lose the next 10 games in a row so we get rid of this jackass fast.

Comrie could have had like 4 points (conservative view)..but he has none. I wonder if you blame him for "wasting" the opportunities, or if you are happy, that he gets that many chances..I mean sometimes it was just bad luck..

but I would have preferd to see him tonight.

I agree with the discipline but only Fleury and Comrie?

Discipline should take place in practice, not games except in the case of Fleury where it is normal to sit a goaltender for not having a good game and utilizing your backup is needed.

I completely agree with the first part. Our captain and Malkin combined for 2 points on one play in 3 games, Fleury played like garbage when it mattered against the Habs and we have tons of players who are underachieving...and Mike Comrie is held accountable? It makes me ill

He's not one of the good ol' boys yet. You need to be a 4th line grinder with questionable hockey stills and Rudy-esque work ethic to enter this here lineup.

Yes, but are you really going to scratch Crosby or Malkin (And Bylsma was going to sit MAF regardless of how he performed the first 2 games)? Somehow I'd imagine that might actually hurt our chances of winning games.

How about Rupp and Talbot who haven't been relevant on the ice in over a year?

Rossi said (FWIW) that Brent Johnson had already been scheduled to play that NJ game. That it had nothing to do with the previous game by Flower.

It might happen.

Can't sit everyone at the same time. And if others get the message from Comrie benching, then I guess it works.

I highly doubt they sat Comrie due to performance. I bet is that he's ill or slightly injured or something.

Bylsma said that he was a game time decision...which makes me think it's injury related.

I take back what I said earlier. Maybe sitting Sid actually would help this team.

Bylsma just keeps doing things that makes me dislike him more and more. This guy really made the most of simply being not Therrien.

I suppose Crosby should sit, too.

Bylsma does some pretty questionable things. I hope he's not too buddy-buddy with Shero to stick around if he starts costing games.

or else Bylsma couldn't find his flipping quarter before the press conference.

Really shocked if it wasn't an injury, Comrie is a proud, hardworking player.

Its got to be injury or illness. What could he have done to be a healthy scratch?

just pure lack of work ethic of Comrie, imo... also, he should be finishing. Good on Bylsma
