Have you seen most of our offensive skill guys. They don't even know what a toe drag is. He's better than the grinders we've been force fed.

Let's say for the sake of argument that he is a weak, lazy player who has never won a single board battle in his entire hockey career. Would you play him in a checking role, where his main objective is to crash, bang, and dig for pucks?
I felt like in the game vs. NJ on the few shifts he was with Crosby, he actually got things going in times where we've seen Dupuis kill the offense. The fact that he can receive passes in tight quarters, put the puck back on Crosby's stick, and finish from time to time puts him leagues ahead of Dupuis.

I like Dupuis because he's fast, physical, back-checks, and works very hard but Crosby and Kunitz are already both of those guys, you can afford to put some one-dimensional talent on that line.

We don't need him to be an offensive machine, we just need him to not **** up and bury goals that Sid gift baskets to him. If he plays anywhere near as well as he did last year in Edmonton last season, I'll be ecstatic.

dupuis has lost his physical game in my opinion. North south is what this team needs to play, if we keep the grinders on the squad.

Lets go Pens!!!!!!

Although to be honest I'm not expecting much.

Sure, Okposo, Tavares, and Streit are out for the Islanders....but that obstacle could very well give them an extra spark of fire, determination, and hunger for all we know.

I'll say 4-3 Isles....although I really hope I'm wrong.

Not really sure what to expect tonight. Pens seem to be struggling at home out of the gate, but you know they'll snap out of it eventually. Isles have played surprisingly well so far this year, even more so when you consider Okposo and Streit are out for awhile, Tavares has played about a period-and-a-half so far, and Wisniewski (although now a folk hero on LI) is up in the press box for one more night. Of course the fear is we'll revert back to expectations soon or DiPietro will tear something in his <insert body part here> and be done for the year, leaving a 41-year old Rolo to handle things.

Regardless, great work by Kinguin. Not only visually, but the amount of info is amazing. Knowing how long GDTs can take to make makes me appreciate this level of info even more. Really great job.

Here's to a good game.

For some extra good luck.....

They say the third time is a charm.

Steigy and Errey say that 3 ass = 1 goal

I'll be bold and say that 3 cookie bunnies = one home win.

Yes, but it's back spasms, not a knee.

He will still play good minutes off that line...where do you want him to go? That 3rd line was really good against the leafs.

If Letestu really is going to be playing 4th line minutes, Bylsma's truly a ****ing idiot.

Find someway to play Letestu and Comrie more than Dupuis thats what I want.

Even worse is that its listed Adams/Lestestu.
If Letestu is scratched over Adams then my "wait and see" attitude will become a "fire Bylsma" attitude so fast Bylsma will have goosebumps. IDC if that sounds like an over-reaction.

I had to use my magnifying glass to spot the Penguins in the conference standings and found our team at the very last. A Kingwin is urgent now.

Ya, and we both should have displayed Engelland after his battle with Orr.

Can't stop watching it.

If Eric Godard not gonna play against Zonopka and Gillies, he needs to go. I was a person arguing to keep him all summer.

If it is between those 2...I guarntee it would be Letestu. Adams is the #1 Penalty Killing forward right now...he can't sit. According to TIOPS.....Godard was the one not taking the rushes. In saying that Letestu didn't have a great game against Toronto and if he needs to sit a guy for Godard that is not a penalty killer....he probably would be the first canidate based on the last game. Crosby, Kunitz, Dupuis, Malkin, Cooke, Talbot, Adams and Rupp can't sit bc of their roles on special teams. It is down to Kennedy, Tangradi, Letestu, Comrie, and Godard. If he feels Godard needs to play....Kennedy and Tangradi were better then Letestu in the last game. Although I could see sitting Tangradi also...he wasnt great.

1. Letestu has two goals.

2. What exactly is Rupps "role" again?

3. That makes no sense. Kennedy, Tangradi, Comrie, and Letestu are not the expendable members of the team. PK is important but even with all those guys we gave up two PP goals to Toronto and our bigger problem is providing our own offense.
Even with Adams scratched we have Cooke, Talbot, Dupuis, Crosby who were regular PKers last year. Malkin who used to be and Rupp who has taken a few shifts.

If anyone should be scratched its Rupp.

Listening to the FAN:

Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis
Tangradi-Comrie-Malkin
Cooke-Talbot-Kennedy
Rupp-Letestu-Godard/Adams

Orpik skates prior to practice, pointing to him missing the game. The Reverend skating with Gogo.

So, Comrie back in...and drop Letestu, who was centering what has been the best line, to the 4th line.

Genius.

Dupuis earned himself another month on the top line after successfully completing a pass last game.
