The Habs outplayed someone.

And got a victory to show for it.

I'm glad to see those two things go together for once.

Surprised, though, I thought the Sabres would be better. Then again, last season they had to lean on a whole lot of Ryan Miller.

Don't look now, but Price is looking pretty good, too...

Well we won, but...

I'm starting to hate our third periods. it's like, we play one way the first two periods and score goals and take the lead, then in the third it's like "okay, no more of that..." and we retreat to our own zone. On the rare occasion that we penetrate the opposition's zone we tend to shoot into the corner then peel back, what are we thinking? "great, the puck is really far away, it will take them forever to get into our zone"? News flash the opposition are wearing skates...

How could Ruff yell at the referee whereas i am quite sure he send out 7 players deliberately ?...
Anyway, it was a solid game. Dont saw a lot of quality chances, but for we can say the same about us...Gomez really need to wake up.

Too bad Eller got benched after that shift with 2 turnovers as he was doing some wonderful things out there

Price is still a stonewall, no human could do anything about that goal. He simply couldn't move.
I think benched is a strong word. Eller had a great game in the offensive zone but had a couple of miscues defensively, and Martin just went with the more experienced players when protecting a 2-1 lead...I'm as big an Eller fan as anyone but I don't have a problem with that.

Only saw the 3rd period. Reffing looked atrocious again. Must be a new goal for them this year to be as brutal as possible.

Strong road game. Very happy Price is continuing the strong play. I like Moen on the Gomez line, but we need to find another solution. Eller was impressive. PK makes mistakes but recovers better than anyone I have ever seen.

One thing I have noticed, particularly with the new guys, is that the stickwork this season has been FANTASTIC. Blocking shots, passes, and stripping the puck.

Price has been amazing. The offense continues to struggle 5 on 5 as per usual. On pace to be 30th again there. But tonight I'm happy with the win!

A routine game, nice to win one of those too

Price excellent again, but most impressed with the composure of the whole team during the last 5 mins.

Not bad, had some moments in the 3rd but settled down. I liked that one shift of Lappy - Pools - Gomez. JM should try that again. Try Gio with Eller and Boyd.

So like last year, we're going to be great on the road but suck at home? Two wins, both on the road.

Price, once again looked great. He was first star of the game.

Pleks line looked good, Moen, Picard, our D, Eller all played well.

The Sabres looked weak. Their D was tuning the puck over time after time in the first half of the game. Their Offence looked weak as well. All we could do was have two D men score for us. One of them was a deflection, in other words very lucky.

Our forwards scored NO GOALS. Over all our forwards were not impressive on offence.

I am happy as we all are that we won but I think we should have flattened this team.

I hope our offence gets better...alot better or we will perhaps not even make the playoffs.

Every game this year we have been hanging on by our finger nails. When are we going to blow a team away?

But in the end...........a win is a win!

Eller was our best forward tonight. Give him some players with some offensive instincts and he won't need to try and create something out of nothing all the time.

I've been hard on Picard all year but he had a very good game tonight, great road game by the team hopefully they come back strong again tomorrow vs. the Sens.

Very glad to see Price and Kostitsyn playing so well so far.

Like I said, I have nothing but praise for Eller's offensive game. But defensively, he struggled tonight, and Martin made the adjustment - no problem there.

We have to find a way to put more pucks in the net, I don't want to end up 30th in 5 on 5 offense again. Otherwise, Price has been FANTASTIC so happy for him.
