Good road win, but sabres were pretty awful. We need the gomez line going or this team is to easy to play against.

Gomez was not that bad.
He was one probably one of our best forward in the 3rd period.

Gill is pretty much responsible for the only goal scored by the Sabres.
If he stays in front of the net instead of uselessly following the puck handler behind the net there is no goal.

Anyone else notice Houde's Freudian slip when he called Price "Patrick"?

Eller for some reason reminds me of Jordan Staal. Is it just me? This kid shows flashes of brilliance to me. He is strong on the puck and I love him. He will get better, he can be effective if used for more minutes.

The Habs big guns had a bit of an off-night overall, yeah.

Buffalo has had a rough start, though. Not sure if they're really any better than we saw tonight.

Indeed. When I watch a player, the first thing I wanna know is if this guy wins 1-on-1 battles and if he can protect the puck along the boards. Often, this kid delivers. That's why I like him.

Eller is an awesomely well-rounded player. He does all the little things right, and has good size and strength to boot. Great guy to have on the team.

I had a terrible night tonight but I came home and caught the 3rd period, actually on my way home I was shocked to see we were up 2-1 on Miller with like 15 minutes to go.

I mean, I know we are kinda bad but what does this say about Buffallo, I mean I think we have a lot more depth up front than them but it goes to show what amazing goaltending can do.

And Josh Gorges scoring on Miller, who would have ever thunk it.

Price has been excellent. We shouldn't expect this every night, the offense needs to pick up a bit.

Did anybody hear the CKAC feed in the background lol? Also, at the end of the game, when the referees called the 7 players thing, the CKAC guy said TOO MANY MEN ON THE ICE and a fraction of a second later Brunet says : I think there's too many men on the ice... LOL..

There is just some intangible to Eller that intrigues me. He looks like a veteran. I hope martin continues to use him effectively. He is dominant along the boards, eating up valuable minutes on the clock. I love this guy and think that we have something special here. A mix between Jordan Staal and Mikko Koivu.

Really noticed AK tonight. He's starting the season off much different than the way he started last season and I'm loving it. Price didn't have a chance on the goal he gave up, sometimes it happens, what can you do? Good win.

Lars Eller is also great. Really happy we got this guy in the trade, he does remind me a bit of Jordan Staal like someone else mentioned.

Certainly not, but at least you will see the puck being moved like a NHL team, we are not facing a AHL line-up tommorow.. We play like today and we will get a correction..
