This. Game was too bad to pick out any one element. The beginning half of the first was awful, 3 goals in four minute span was Florida not letting the Lightning get away with it.

Did anybody look good tonight? I don't remember it if they did. There was plenty of awfulness to go around though.

Oh well, 1 out of 82. Move on and get your **** straight for Monday night boys.

The first 2 games looked great, the third so-so and the fourth........

I was wondering how far the players were going to be able to go in this Go-Go-Go style of play. Go-go-go up and gone....

I didn't get a chance to watch the game b/c it was the only game not being shown on my Centre Ice, but was Ellis that bad or did they pull him to try and get the team going a bit? I noticed both goalies let in 3 goals, did either of them look any better? Or were most of the goals a result of bad overall team defence?

Thanks in advance

Well........

it is only one loss and had to happen sooner or later.... but at the hands of Florida and with that score, nobody was really moving and it was painful to watch(everybody was awful)

Also, i almost crapped my pants when VL4 got hurt......1) because our top 6 would be screwed 2)i have him on my fantasy team.....luckey he came back though

come on boys pull up the pants and get moving becuase a surprisingly tough Dallas team on Monday

I listened to a little bit of the game on the radio, then decided to watch some Wisconsin/Ohio State.

*fast forward and check score later*

Bad defense overall, I'm actually not sure if any of those goals were stoppable since I was weening myself off of the game after the 1st. Just some atrocious turnovers and lack of coverage, but also some very good plays on Florida's part. For a score of 6-0 it takes two teams working together.

I was at my brothers house for dinner and would occasionally check the score. It just kept getting worse and worse.

Ok, I guess it's not worth watching the game now, is it?

But better lose some games now than later. Probably not bad that we lost this one, going 4-0-0 puts a lot of pressure on ya - just look at the Leafs! They're now SC contenders and all. But seriously, this should be good for the team etc to come back down to earth after that amazing start into the season. Probably could've picked a better opponent to lose against than the kitties though.

worth retweeting

"JonJordan
Guy Boucher looks like some peed in his Cheerios. And then doused them with gas, lit 'em, peed in 'em again and served 'em up. No?"

How did Ritola look last night? I see he was on the ice for 3 goals against, was he at fault on any of them?

Tough loss last night, I'm sorry to see it. I don't really believe in "second favorite" teams, but, as a Wings fan who grew up with Yzerman and who has followed Ritola closely for 3 years now, I have significant interest in the Lightning these days. Hope to watch several games this year. Good luck.

Have you not learned anything. if you choose to watch the Avs over the Lightning they BOTH lose.
The choice is clear you watch ONLY the Lightning.

Missed this one too..

I think we can expect some games like these, with Bouchers system it's a bit hit and miss, when it don't work it's a big chance it ends like this. Im just worried if the players can keep up the energy levels needed to play such intense hockey.
