Did You Know?
  • The Flyers’ home changed names this offseason from the Wachovia Center to the Wells Fargo Center, but the Penguins hope the recent success they have enjoyed their doesn’t change. Over the past two seasons Pittsburgh is 5-1 at Philadelphia, including a perfect 3-0 mark last year.
  • Pittsburgh has won five-straight contests in Philadelphia, with the Flyers last victory over the Penguins occurring on Dec. 13, 2008 (6-3). Including the postseason, the Penguins are 7-1 at the Wells Fargo Center since their last regular-season loss.
  • Penguins head coach Dan Bylsma earned his first NHL road victory at the Well Fargo Center on Feb. 21, 2009 when Sidney Crosby’s late tally gave the Penguins a 5-4 victory. Under Bylsma, the Penguins are 4-0 all-time in the regular season in Philadelphia.
  • The Flyers enter Saturday’s game with the NHL’s fifth-rated penalty killing unit. Philadelphia has killed off 21 of 23 opponent power plays. The Penguins went 1-for-5 against the Flyers on the man-advantage on opening night.
  • On the flip side, Philadelphia’s power play has began the season ice cold, scoring just once on 17 chances for a 5.9 success rate that ranks 27th in the NHL

Sorry for the delay--vodka last night. Didn't see lines for either team posted; if anyone has updates I'll edit as they come.

Gonna be there. I hope Candy is playing.

If Sid plays as lazy as he has in the first few games Flyers fans will see one angry Pens fan screaming at him from the stands for being lazy.

I think the lines should be

Kunitz-Crosby-Comrie
Tangradi-Letestu-Malkin

............That way Malkin has a key face off guy. I mean, I'm not a hockey genius cause I've never played the game, but it just seems logical to me, especially considering how well Letestu is playing.

I changed it, but the fact is, it's all speculation until we find out what they were doing this morning.

Starting earlier due to the Phillies game. Also, is it confirmed Johnson is starting tonight? I though i read that Fleury was.

Its hard to imagine seeing Johnson start twice in 23 hours.

I'm rather happy that the start time got moved up...only the last 30-40 minutes or so should overlap the Griz game.

Oh, also **** the Flyers.

Yeah, I'd be shocked if Fleury didn't get the start in this one.

Good point. Wasn't thinking.

If anyone hears what the official lineup is, please post it here or send me a message and I'll edit the OP.

God I hope they get him a win if he is. His confidence has really got to be in the toilet at this point and if he loses tonight to go 0-4 with Johnson at 2-0 it might be a long recovery process. He just seems to be really unlucky lately. He might want to see someone about having a curse removed.

Orpik isn't playing tonight is he? Matt Walker is out for a long time with possible hip surgery and hasn't played a game yet this season. Sean O'Donnell is on the 3rd pairing with Meszaros.

I kind of hope Johnson starts just because I see us getting lit up either way, and we'll be nearly an actual goalie controversy if Fleury starts and gets lit up again.

Is this game not being shown on Center Ice? I'm looking for it, but I can't find it on the line up.

Ah, its on NHL Network... sweet. Going to have to find a stream for this one.
