You pull an MT, and play him until he loses.

Hopefully they can build on this game. With the way Goli/Letang and Lovejoy have played so far, our defense should be pretty solid when Orpik and Michalek come back.

I'm calling the Philly media going with Johnson, Letestu and Briere for the three stars.

Maybe they'll surprise me.

They did. It must've hurt, though.

Lol that seems wrong with how the Pens have played the first 6 games but I'll take it! Pretty good performance in the 2nd half of that game which is encouraging.

Congrats Kovy, on your first GDT win on your first try.

Love that smell, the smell of victory over the Flyers.

Keith Jones picked them.

1- Crosby, 2- Letang, 3- Johnson.

True.

But he scores real goals instead.

Leave EN goals to guys like Ovie or Steven "I'mma get an EN goal to tie Crosby for the '09 Rocket Richard" Stamkos.

What?
Johnson
Letang (one of the best defensive games he's ever played)
Crosby (ALL he did was score the two goals)

It was a pretty flattering scoreline, if we're honest. We weren't that good.

I thought Philly had nothing from the outset as well.

The most pathetic thing to watch was the 5 on 3. Everyone stood still. Everyone knew a pass was going to Malkin for a one timer. And, despite being out there 3 on 5, the Flyers still sold out to take away the one timer.

Right now, you've got a PP predicated on neutering Malkin and looking for someone else to make a play. Fortunately, Sid actually put two shots on net tonight. And, once in a while on the second unit, someone else makes a play.

BUT, the worst thing to take from tonight is the idea that the PP was somehow anything but marginally better.
