3rd Line Math Meltdown!

hockey calculus.
4 games.
madden. minus 5
kobasew. minus 5
nystrom. minus 6
(-5)+(-5)+(-6) = sucking it bigtime for checking line = too old + wrong line + too passive = minus 16.

in order to get some positive values in this equation.

1. wellman instead of madden
2. kassian instead of nystrom

puleeze. teacher richards. puleeze principal fletcher.

Well, they wouldn't be soo minus if they could score. 0 goals 0 assists is gonna make it pretty easy to be a minus player.

Ya....that isn't going to happen so I'd say stop with wishful thinking. They should just juggle the lines to the way they should be anyways. When Lats gets off the 4th line, and Clutter goes to his rightful spot, things will be a little bit better for those lines.

yeah, swapping nystrom for kassian is really rational.

and i don't know if you watched wellman try to check anyone, but it really doesn't look good. Bouchard is a harder hitter. Wellman needs time to bulk up and figure out how to use it.

That line is terrible offensively. I know they haven't scored, but I haven't seen anything even close. They rarely ever have the puck. They are skating around the offensive zone with their heads cut off

This line has been the king of missing defensive assignments. So much for being good in that area - the only area they can be good in.

Both Kobasew and Nystrom have looked practically invisible IMO. From what I've seen, Kobasew's more of a forechecker than a hitter or defensive guy. Nystrom looks like a hitter, but not much else. They definitely need to change up these lines and put Clutter back in the bottom six.
