Swap Clifford with someone else, say Dwight King, and you've got a hell of a deal on your hands.

Seriously. It's not his fault their was a cluster-**** D-Men in Manchester last year. Hickey, Voynov, Muzzin, Campbell and Martinez just to name a few.

Not a big fan of Teubert. I do like the fact he's a bad ass.

Yet I'm so tired of reading the ECHL thing. He has been drafted two years ago, I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

I actually think he has a very good shot for a stay at home defenseman. With a bit of luck he will become a much better version of Denis Gauthier.

Teubert has almost no trade value right now. If DL made him available for trade, we wont get much.

The better route is to let him play in the AHL for the next year or two. Either he's going to develop into the potential, or he's a wasted 1st round pick.

Personally, I think the latter.

I do see him being included in some trade package, but not the centerpiece of a trade.

Lombardi probably keeps Teubert and sees if he can become the kind of player Matt Greene is for the Kings. Not every kid makes it. Teubert has the size and attitude that every team needs on their roster. I see no problem with him playing in Manchester for a couple of seasons to get the experience he needs.

At some point there are going to be some trades involving young defensemen in the Kings organization. There simply isn't enough room for all these guys:

Hickey
Teubert
Martinez
Voynov
Muzzin
Drewiske
Forbert

and I am sure I missed a couple.

This is just dumb.

Remove the first and it is closer but the Kings would still take a big pass, and i really like AH.

I think he wasn't serious about that. More answering to the Dwight King proposal.

Anyways................

The Kings just need an upgrade in the top 6 department nowhere else.
Teubert alone won't get a top 6 winger right now so this discussion is pointless
at least from my point of view.

What i don't get is why all of the Edmonton fans are fighting against the idea
of swapping one of our high end talents.
We have to many centers and you have to many wingers.

What's wrong with a MPS - Schenn or Eberle - Loktionov deal ?????
That would really help both teams a lot and we don't have to discuss a winning or losing deal.

To Minnesota: D Colten Teubert
To Los Angeles:F Colton Gillies
hmm, interesting proposal
pretty sure Teubert and Gillies have been friends off the ice for a long time

Yes, I was countering a ridiculously 1 sided deal with another.
I just cant see us trading away any of the rooks because they all have incredible potential and we don't know who emerges as the best.

I also hate how much potential gets over valued and thrown around now.

MPS-Schenn I would listen too though.

Centre's and defenceman.

For centre prospects(ones that have a shot at playing signifigant roles)

Lander
Vande Velde
Pitlick
Martindale

Defence

Plante
Petry
Marincin

That one sided deal you were countering was originally proposed by an Oilers fan.

I'm courious as to your reason. Shirokov has a much higher likelhood of being a top six winger in the NHL than Tuebert making it as a 3rd pairing defenseman in the NHL. The only reason Shirokov isn't playing in the NHL today is that he is on the wrong team. There is no way any Canuck rookie is going to break into the Canuck's top 6 this season.

I think that this is the type of trade that Edm has to do. It clears out some winger prospects and gets us some dmen prospects. I would do this trade in an instant. Good post. As far as the guy saying no way and laughing I don't care that you have that many post. It was a very good first post. Maybe not a 2nd but it was solid

that is exactly what i was thinking. omark clearly wants to play in the nhl and should be moved before he asks to be. cogliano is the odd man out at this point. the kings could use secondary scoring and have an abundance of defensive prospects, which the oilers are interested in. if it takes a 2nd round pick to get it done, i'm happy with that.

thanks.
