meeting for "HFBoards" swiss Hockey fans

Hello everybody,

i was thinking that we could maybe have a HFBoard meeting one day in a city in the center of the country like .... Bern ?? why not .... and enjoy a game together and then a couple of brews for who would be interested.

I suggest Bern because i am from Geneva therefore Bern would be almost in the center.
Then Bern always offers an interesting hockey and the best arena in the world !

The date : i would see a date that would be around beginning of December.
Yet all suggestions are welcome if you have interest. let's discuss the options we have ... i am just starting the idea.

see ya

It could be fun but I guess there would be some language issue and the German and French speakers wouldn't mix too well.

It would be good fun !
We all speak english !! and we all love hockey and we are all in favour of Switzerland !

That is 3 points in common at least. To me the "RostiGraben" is more of a mythical issue than a reallity.

I see no problem in that at all. Then, i personally do speak both (French + Swiss German) !

I don't believe in RöstiGraben either, but in a group of people with two native languages, it's only natural the group will split according to languages, especially if some are not that comfortable in English.

In fact you are very right.

However if we encounter this problem, the target will be fully met. If we are 5, we will already have been very successfull.

on Saturday 20st november at 19.45 we have a SCB agains Zug ! interesting ...
one week later, on sunday we have a SCB - ZSC ... can also be fun !
on Tuesday 7th december SCB - Biel/Bienne
or Friday 10th december SCB - Ambri

Where would your preferences go ?? i would clearly prefer Zug or ZSC. My prefered would actually be a little SCB - Gotteron ! unique ! that would be on December 21st. I guess the date is too close to Christmas to give freedom. Basically for me it ain't a problem. I should just know in advance.

So guys, let know your preferences !! and we will try to chose the most interesting game.

stv, Koh, Swissexpert, swissdan, weberstreit, dunga, peachy89, the nextone, thefirstsaviour, jonas234567, Pokechecker, mikebroomers.
(peachy89, come out from Heidiland and join us for a good game.)

It would really be fun to see each one's face ! and to enjoy a game with other passionates from other horizons !!

You could get together between November 12th and 26th.
I speak French as my 1st language, and my girlfriend who speaks Swiss Greman will be there as well.
I could be the Canadian Special guest

in the stretch of 12th - 26th, there will only be one match in bern: 20st november SC Bern - EV Zug

for me, bern is just too far away. i can't go home after a match except it's a sunday-match (i travell by train) and i don't know, if i can stay by a friend over night (he's a shiftworker)

but it seems like, that noone is interest to meet each other and there will be no meeting or do i miss all the posts of the other swiss?

Actually it seems that peachy89 is pretty right.

1) Heidiland (where he comes from) is in Graubunden ... the other side of the country. If you have no car it is very complicated to come to Bern.

2)Then none of the others seem to be interested in meeting (except me ... i launched the idea ... but it didn't seem to blossom !! yet even 2 or 3 we can always have a nice evening !)

3)He is also right in the fact that the only interesting game that takes place at these dates is the SCB-Zug game on november 20st at 19.45.

Therefore if you are interested ... we can meet on november the 20st for this game.

If anyother person is interested ... let it know. The more we will be the funnier the evening will be. I come from Geneva therefore I can stop in GE, LS, FR or somewhere on the highway to pick up someone.

I think there really is a "Röstigraben", you can see it every vote-sunday. It's sad but true.
On the other hand, I think that wouldn't affect the meeting of some hockey-interested people because we all have similar interests, at least one.

Since I live in the very east of Switzerland, Bern is not possible for me travel, I wish you a nice game though!
