Boucher:
Quote:
"The minute we got out of (BankAtlantic Center), this game is done; we can't stay on this game," Lightning coach Guy Boucher said. "We had a tremendous trip. We go beat Montreal in their barn in their home opener where they were all pumped up … then we go beat Philly in their barn and they are one of the top teams in the league, too."
Lecavalier:
Quote:
"It was tough to swallow after two big games, but there are 82 games in the year and we are going to have another tough game against Dallas and we have to make sure it doesn't happen again," center Vinny Lecavalier said.

Gagne:

Quote:
"It's early in the season, only four games, so it's no time to panic. The way we played the first three games, there is no reason why we have to panic in looking at one game too much. So I think it will be easy to totally turn the page, get a nice day off and focus on Dallas."

LETS GO BOLTS!

he gave everyone the day off

To help get the game out of their system, everybody was given Sunday off. No skating, no meetings, no hockey. Time was set aside beforehand to spend at home, relax with family or friends, and that wasn't going to be taken away.

The time away, the Lightning hope, will translate into a refreshed attitude this morning as Tampa Bay prepares to face Dallas.

I just noticed that Dallas is carrying Brandon Segal. Who wants to start the thread on the main board about his first game back in Tampa?

Another twitter update:

"Lecavalier very doubtful for game tonight according to Boucher."
http://twitter.com/#!/TBLightning/status/27744893028

"Guy Boucher said he will dress seven defenseman tonight, likely deciding between Ritola and Tyrell as scratches, didn't want to tip hand"
http://twitter.com/#!/erlendssontrib/status/27743736265

Why are we going with 7 D again? The games we've been shaky/terrible have all been those.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Vinny sit out after that puck off the hand.

Honestly... don't mind the lines without him in there. Moore can fit in a couple of games at 2C.

Maybe it's not that bad if Vinny doesn't play tonight. Better rest a game or two and get healthy instead of rushing back into the game and making things worse with that hand. No need for another season with Injured Vinny. It should also be another motivation for the team to step it up a notch (win it for Vinny, Moore being promoted to the 2nd line, etc). Sufficient reasons to dominate tonight are there: make everybody forget the 0-6 defeat, break the Stars' winning streak (sorry Brads!), home game, Vinny. Let's go Bolts!

+1, though I hope this doesn't turn into 3 weeks of injured Vinny...he started off well but after the first game...meh.

Well first "test" game of the year. How will Boucher and Co. come back after that abortion of a game the other night.

Need to come out flying and dont stop until the final horn.

Lets go boys.

Very excited to see BR back in town tonight! I will be cheering for the Lightning (of course) but you know I'll be on the Stars end of the rink for warmups.

Think it's kind of funny that we are encouraged to wear both Lightning gear and lavender clothes for tonight's game. Anyone have a lavender Lightning jersey??

ALL IN.

lavender?

If I can be controversial for a second, why does anyone need to show their disapproval of cancer? Are there significant clusters of people out there who are pro-cancer?

Lehtonen is in net, Jamie Benn is out, and Ott will play.

Ohlund is still definitely out, and Aaron Gagnon has been called up by Dallas.

Does anyone have a timetable for Ohlund? Missing him is hurting the defense in a big way, get Vernace out of the lineup

I think everyone dislikes cancer, but not everyone is aware of the symptoms that detected early could give them a better chance of survival or not everyone gets involved with those in the cancer community. I think wearing lavender is just to point out the people who have been affected by it and the volunteers who spread awareness, donate time, money, etc to find a cure, or try to improve the lives of those who are diagnosed and gather more support.
