Making the Jump to double letters

Hi guys I'm in my 2nd year midget and I've been playing for 6 years and i've spent them in B next year will probably be my last year with my minor hockey team, and I would love to play double letters so that I can leave on a high note, there's free clinics I can go to every week and theres skating at the rink I can also go too, if I went to all of them I would be on the ice at least 5 times a week and then there's practices and shinny, I'm going to be doing that for a while so that I can work on my skating, and I've considered shooting pucks instead of balls when I go to the rink to practice my shot.

Is there any things I can do on my own an an outdoor rink to improve, like a skating or stick handling drill ?

I have some freinds who I play street with that are in double letters and I'm going to be playing shinny against them this winter but would a hockey camp help ?

Any suggestions on what I would have to do to get faster ?
