I would say in three years they will be a pretty good team with many matured offensive weapons like Tavares, Nino, Bailey and Okposo...hopefullly Dipietro stays healthy

In thee years eh?
Nino - Tavares - Moulson
Comeau - Bailey - Okposo
Martin - Nilson - Petrov
Ullstrom - Konopka - NOT GILLIES
Streit- Hamonic
DeHann-Martinek
Wiz-MacDonald
DP
Koskinen
Im sure there will be a prospect that won't pan out, or Moulson was a fluke or something. UFAs will be signed as needed. But im loving the look of that lineup.

More free agents, less internal solutions. It rarely works out that so mnay guys pan out.
Also, Gillies replaces Sparky the Dragon as the new mascot.

if you think about it no nhl team has ever won a cup before being relocated, the Canucks don't have any cups, maybe they should relocate

Why does everyone spell Frans Nielsen's last name in their own variation?

Should be a contending team, but only time will tell.

Find a good goalie then we'll talk.
Disclaimer: Roloson is a good goaltender but he's 41 he wont be playing in 3 years.

I think some people were actually talking about Brock Nelson.

There is hardly any guarantee that Roloson won't be playing in 3 years. He is still very solid at age 41, and he isn't exactly looking like he is about to break down anytime soon. If DiPietro remains healthy (that seems even less likely than Roloson playing at age 44), the Isles could very well have 2 good goalies on their hands (think top 20 in the league).
Furthermore, the Isles already have a couple of solid goalie prospects (Koskinen, Poulin, Nilsson) waiting in the wings, although, admittedly, none of them are guaranteed any NHL succes.

2010-11 team

Like all teams that suck for a number of years in a row, they'll be competitors soon.
Haha.. Ridiculous how that works eh? Tank for 3 years, grab 3 top prospects, along with whoever else you pick up along the way from trading players for picks and good drafting after the 1st round. Suddenly 5 years later, you're back in the playoffs! Haha..
NYI's core should be good enough... I peg em as atleast an outside contender in 5 years.

Satan, Comrie, Hilbert, Guerin and Fedotenko? Most of those in your top 6? That's embarassing. You won't get close to the cup with players like that.

I think we have a pretty good idea of the following:
1) The top three centers will probably be Tavares and Bailey, Nielsen
2) On the wings will be Okposo, Comeau, Niederetter. We don't know if any of them will be 1st/2nd/3rd line players.
We hope that:
1) Petrov and Kabanov will be scoring line wingers
2) De Haan and Hamonic are 1st pairing dmen
3) MacDonald and Hillen are solid 2nd/3rd pairing dmen
4) DP comes back and is an all-star goalie again.
I think best case we are looking at:
Niederetter - Tavares - Okposo
Petrov - Bailey - Kabanov
xxxxxx - Nielsen - Comeau
De Haan - Hamonic
xxxxxx - MacDonald
xxxxxx - Hillen
DP
Koskinen/Poulin
The Isles have a bunch of prospects who could be legit 3/4 line or 3rd pairing d by then.
Worst case we are looking at
xxxxx - Tavares - xxxxxx
xxxxx - Bailey - Okposo
Comeau - Nielsen - Niederetter
upfront with a lot of question marks on D/G.
Realistically I think we will see one but not both of Petrov/Kabanov make it, Okposo/Niederetter/Comeau will give the Isles one first and two second line wingers, the Isles will need to bring in a legit #1 dman but have solid depth throughout the lineup.

No, actually Vasicek made them all better though.
Defense depth is also an improvement.
2007-08: Berard, Witt, Sutton, Martinek, Gervais, Campoli, Meyer, Davison
2010-11: Streit, Wisniewski, Eaton, Mottau, Jurcina, MacDonald, Martinek, Hillen, Gervais
Having Roloson greatly improves the team in net...compared to Dubielewicz in 2007.
