If I were the fan, when they take me to a small room to take my statement/ask me to sign a waiver to avoid lawsuit, I would say "season tickets for the rest of the season and a signed green alt by the whole team.. Or I will see you in court."

No kidding. I can't believe they moved him after that. Even for own safety, those tickets probably aren't/weren't cheap.

In other news, this should ramp up ticket sales

The suspension length should be very interesting. The NFL has set a high precedent for other sports in how valuable personal conduct is, I'm very interested in how long they decide to suspend him for.

Also looking forward to Avery's response to the act/suspension.

There's a good chancing, looking at the video, that the kid is a minor, too. He definitely deserves a decently hefty suspension.

I can't believe he didn't get kicked out of the game. It's ridiculous.

I'm listening to a Vancouver radio station where people can call in just to see what there fans think haha. Well, the one radio announcer thinks Rypien is only going to get a 1 game suspension... lol

I be we don't see him before Turkey Day, and at that rate he'll be released by Vancouver anyways. Even their own fans are in agreement

Pretty moronic decision and could ultimately cost him a job with his team. Suspension not taken into account. It's not like Rypien is an integral NHLer so I wouldn't be all that surprised to see the NHL coming down hard him with something like a 20 game suspension.

Why does the fan get 1? He crapped his pants, that's at least a -1 lol.

Stupid move from Rypien. He's a bit unstable, lost it tonight. Interesting to see what the NHL does with this mess.

Considering what Rypien will having coming to him and what the fan could if he wishes, I'd say the scoring is appropriate.

Because someone has to win under the 10 point must system and it's not Rypien. Therefore, Fan 1 - Rypien 0.

LOL. Upon another viewing of that video, that fan looked like he was gonna **** his pants... Total "mommy!!!" look on his face. Still, when he tells his friends about this I bet he'll be like, "yeah, I would've totally kicked his ass if my Dad didn't hold me back..."

Turn this into a Poll for the suspension. I'm going 15 games for going after the ref, and another 25 for the fan. He's done till at least 2011

Dude he looks like a dweeb who is about to get pummeled by a NHL player. I'm sure he probably came all over himself once it was over from the adrenaline boost
