and cba outlines that in order to count as 'assigned' for cap purposes, the player actually has to report to the team. That would mean actually driving smith to bingo and back between games, so unfeasible unless you're in a really tight cap position.

Its rather funny how everyone was trashing on Smith when he got sent down. Its also funny how they were trashing on our 4th line, which to me was one of the fastest and most aggressive for Ottawa last game.
