Sure I think he'll score a goal against Calgary.

Doubtful he'll score his 1st. Thinking Columbus on Thursday.

Didn't know where to put this, but Souray has 3 assists (all ES I think) in 5 games. He fought his last game, and has 4 minors. He didn't play Sunday. It was a 3 game weekend for Hershey, so hopefully it was just cause he's getting back into it and not due to injury.

His stats are being tracked in the Prospect Stats thread with our other players in the system. I hope Souray doesn't get injured, it would be nice for him to up his value a bit.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Souray couldn't be traded until the next off-season? As of now, he'd have to go through re-entries first, so why would a team trade anything for him, when he needs to be exposed to re-entries?

I think the article is suggesting that Ottawa would have first crack at him on waivers so they could trade the Oilers something for them to recall him

One win by Ottawa and the whole situation gets messy. Seems to be more of a pipedream then anything.

Normally I take the "not sure" option for stuff that's yet to be decided. but I really liked the idea of all our rookies scoring their first goals agianst the Flames. Hopefully MPS can get a proper one tonight as well.

“Now that was funny,” said Edmonton Oilers’ defenceman Ryan Whitney, coming off the ice after the morning skate ahead of tonight’s game against the Calgary Flames - and who could argue with a nice dose of slapstick? A little while earlier, as he exited the ice at the Scotiabank Saddledome, Whitney had unscrewed all the tops of the water bottles on the Oilers bench. Moments later, Sam Gagner came over for a drink and - kerplash, water all the way down the front of his jersey.

“I know who did it,” said Gagner, mock seriously in the dressing room afterwards.
