My friend thought it'd be cool if the 3rd looked like a Union soldier's uniform, not sure how I feel about that one though.

Anyway, hope your 3rd is awesome and good luck with the rest of the season!

Thanks for the sentiment. It's always nice to see someone drop in and say an encouraging thing or two about the CBJ. That being said, I seriously hope we kick your team's butt the next time we meet we owe you two now LOL

Unable to decide, I will let the Hat of Fate decide for me. There is one "kill shot" in this chamber of Columbus Roulette because I like to live dangerously. You decide which piece of paper represents the "Kill Shot".

the suspense is palpable.

I have a dilemma as well. GF wants Voracek. I want Voracek. We are STH and I will not be 'that couple' who wears matching sweaters...even if one's a alternate and one's a home/away.

What in the world do I do? I currently have a Nash 2004 all star, Commodore, Boll and Foote (nameplate torn, still wondering what to do with this one...).

Proud of you, LBP. I'm not fond of couples who wear matching outfits at sporting events (or anytime, for that matter!). Very "high school" in my opinion. Not that there's anything wrong with high school...if you happen to be in it!

I ended up going with a Umberger authentic. I have 4 jerseys with current player names on them. 3 Nash CBJ jerseys (original blue, original 3rd and new home) and a new Mason white so I wanted someone else for this one. I had it down to RJ and Brass and in the end RJ won out. Now if I was making the choice now and not months ago it would have been a harder choice.

Sounds like it will be nice, I hope it doesn't feature stripes though or I won't buy one.

That description is a little disappointing to me... glad I didn't pre-order one. I understand the Navy Blue homage, but... really? Put the JHM patch back on the jersey. To everyone else in the league, it's just "another blue jersey for the CBJ". Not unique like the yellow from Nashville, or the baby blue... both of which I hate, but are 'unique'.

I really hope the cannon doesn't come off too 'cartoony'.

Anywho, it's just a sweater. It's the team I'm a fan of.

Let's GO Jackets!

Gonna get one either way.

If it's terrible, then I'll get a Nash, hopefully have him sign it and then sell it in ten years.

If it's good, then I'll just get a blank one.

That is , of course assuming that it doesn't have the stupid shoelace on the collar... if it does I'm not buying it

It's kinda difficult to do a Civil War themed jersey without it being Union Blue.

A grey jersey could be a unique concept, but it doesn't fit with the theme.

I'll probably get a Voracek one, unless the canon design isn't as cool as I hope it will be.

This image was posted on http://thehockeywriters.com/new-3rd-...-for-columbus/, but it doesn't seem to be accurate since it doesn't sound like there are red stripes from Porty's description, but the cannon design could be close:

At the CBJ/PIT pre-season game, I saw a Jaromir Jagr Pens jersey with the Jagr nameplate replaced with "Traitor" (in accurate Penguins font).

The same could be done with your Adam Foote jersey. In a way, it would rule.

Porty also said that the pants are navy blue with the new jersey & the logo will feature one star, symbolic of Columbus being the capital...

I hope that's just somebody's idea. If that really is it...please, no...

I ordered mine when the season tickets came. Voracek. It sounds like there will be a lot of Jake sweaters in the new design.

holy **** that would be a dream. only thing is that white helmet, don't you need to have dark colored helmets for dark jerseys in the NHL?

edit: just read Porty's post. maybe the sweater is a similar design, but the pants are blue too. either way, I hope to see that kind of design on the jersey.

I like the Civil War references, but I really hope we don't get that stupid shoestring around the neckline. I can't stand those.

Uggh. Just read Puck Rakers, disappointed because navy blue was the one dang color that I didn't want it to be. I would have definitely gotten a gray or "neon green" (Like that would ever have happened) but now I am not so sure I'll buy one.

Well, at least the "NO RED!!!!!" people will be pleased.

I'll wait to see it before I make judgement, but it sounds kinda plain to me. Then again, the NYR Statue of Liberty jersey is my favorite of all time, so if it's like that, then very cool.

Damn. That looks like a freaking football jersey with those stripes. I can see it being the same navy blue color as our regulars with the same kind of design for the cannon. It will probably look pretty decent if it has some silver outlining ect. Idk I'm hoping its looks a whole hell of a lot better than that though.
