Game 8: Ducks @ Philadelphia Flyers 10/21/10 4:00PM PST

DUCKS (2-4-1) at FLYERS (2-2-1)

TV: Fox Sports-Prime Ticket; CSN-Philadelphia.
Radio: 830AM (Anaheimducks.com streaming)

Season Series: This is the first of two meetings between the teams; they will face each other again in Anaheim on Dec. 31. It's been a full calendar year since they last met, as Anaheim earned a 3-2 shootout victory at Philadelphia on Oct. 10, 2009.

After a close loss last night, Anaheim is still seeking their first road win of the season. The Flyers are coming off losing two in a row.

KEYS TO THE GAME

- Will Fowler play? (I personally think he will)
- Will Hiller or McBackup start?
- Will our power play do better than last night?
- Will we not allow quick goals in succession yet again?
- Will RPG do anything ?

If Ducks continue to play like in the last game (especially first line lazyness), it would be a total massagre. In my opinion Flyers has the best offence deep in the league and their defence is rock solid too. RGP line must lead the team with a good example and other lines must follow that. Goalie will be the other key thing for Ducks, if they wanna fight for the victory. He will face lots of rubber tonight.

Cmon Teemu catch Bobby Hull tonight!
Should be fun to see Syvret, Pronger and O'Donnell face their former team mates.

Go Ducks!

Has anyone seen Bobby Ryan? 1 goal in 7 games? He better start picking up his production.

Lots and lots of pre-orders for his 3rd jersey.
Samuelis are fine with Bobby Ryan's production.

I hope I get a look at Fowler tonight. Also hope Teemu catches and/or passes Hull. Last year's game was probably the best hockey game I've ever attended. I've got my Selanne Jersey-shirt on under the Getzy jersey, my Parrostache and a sign for Teemu.

Tail end of back-to-backs aren't fun. Somebody needs to step up on offense, hopefully someone on the RPG line, but I'll take a Teemu repeat performance.

If Teemu is great again tonight, he could be ''Flyers expert''.

I have no big hopes for this game, I predict a 4-0 Philly in a game filled with rough stuff.

A win tonight, on the second night of a back to back against a good team like Philly, would almost make up for the poor effort last night.

I will be watching Sheldon Brookbank closely. If he has a good game the Ducks are guaranteed a win but if he struggles i predict a 6-1 loss. This game hangs in Brookbanks hands :run:

Combine the laziness of RPG on road, tail end of back to backs and the fact RC and his one trick of line matching is not available, I predict a blow out loss to the Flyers.

I hope I'm wrong though.

so brookbank is the key to winning a game and loosing 6-1.....

Can you put some logic behind your statement?

I really hope Fowler plays, but I'm ok with them scratching him if he needs to recover still and not get further injured.

I had hopes since it's on CSN-Philly that meant I could watch it on DishNetwork's Center Ice, but no such luck - according to the guide it's not on any Center Ice channels

Curtis McElhinney will get his first start for Ducks in goal vs. Flyers. Fowler is indeed out.

Better to give Fowler plenty of time to recover...

Hope Curtis McE gets the start.

edit: I see he is indeed starting and Fowler is sitting.

Sucks that Fowler won't be in, but I don't have a problem with McElhinney in net. Our forwards need to show up to night big time.
