JJ is trying to get traded to Pittsburgh for next to nothing by playing sloppy all the time so he can play with his buddy Sid...

He needs to play out of his mind so we can send him in a huge package for Malkin.

The Kings looked like zombies as usual. No emotion or dirt that's needed from time to time. TM needs to go back to his line juggling and figure out that Distant Brown does not have the skill set to be on the top line. Effort will always be there but he can't control a pass nor give one.
Get the Smyth - Kopi - Williams line together and leave it alone unless DL gets a winger to play with Kopi. The first line needs to be your best and it isn't right now.

I also don't know why JJ doesn't use the body.....at all! it's offensive!

The pass into Jack's skates? ..I took a second look at it, he had all the time in the world to position himself to receive it, he got caught standing flatfooted and couldn't move.

He was pretty bad tonight, but he was not the reason to why we lost.

Loosing will happen and goalies will have down nights but my biggest concern is the PP.

Quick were a lot better after a while but his rebound control were atrocious.

he's a 7th D-man playing over 20 minutes a night in his first game of the year... Harrold was fine...

Johnson along with our next four first round draft picks + Schenn, Loktionov, Hickey. And that might not be enough. Do it Dean!

I don't think it is emotion as much but they just did not have the sense of urgency near the end of the game, the onyl way to beat Bryzgalov is to get traffic and socre with garbage goals. Simmonds 2 goals tonight for example. Kings didn't shoot on Bryzgalov a single time in that last 1:30 or so..

Pens would say no.. They don't want a 25th overall draft pick... Need more anyways.

Westgarth stinks. I just want this dude to drop the gloves but he can't find anyone to drop them with. He's also a much worse skater than Ivanans and it's like playing with 4 and a half men on the ice because he can hardly move. Can't really mix up the lines to a point where Richie-Schenn-Simmonds becomes a permanent fixture without shuffling Stoll or Handzus to the 4th line. But I do like it a lot.

Jack stunk. He just needs to get his head out of his ass. We know this guy can bring it, but all he's bringing to the rink is nothing.

Things happen, it's a back to back. No reason to get worked up over it.

He just doesn't fit and will lose the puck on the cycle. Just put in Clifford.
Wrong. Westgarth looked better tonight than Clifford has all season and I'm a huge Clifford fan.

Why are people hating on Westgarth? He's hitting, something Ivanans couldn't do because he couldn't keep up, he's getting offensive opportunities, something Ivanans couldn't do either.

Tippett has our team down cold. They kill us with team speed. Same thing goes next week when we play Chicago. Some emotion would be nice when we can't match up in the speed department.

TM needs to find ways for us to keep the puck and that starts with skill and puck possession. Kopi is constantly chasing the game when he has Brown firing pucks into the abyss. I love Brownie but he's being asked too much. He should have stuck to what made him effective and that's running over people and being a super pest..

I don't agree with the Westy hate.

He looks like he knows how to play the game and sometimes you see some flashes of that. He will be better than Ivanans ever was...Edit: he is better than Ivanans ever was.

Harrold and Mitchell were constantly confused about their play it looked like to me, like not sure who would cover what and whatnot. Also, seemed like nobody could make a decent pass all night. Just seem like the team wasn't communicating as well as they should have been. I don't know if that was because TM mixed up the lines or what.

Sucks to lose to a division rival though. Kings played like junk, but you gotta credit the Yotes, they played a pretty solid game. Not a lot of mistakes on their part, and they were all over pucks most of the game.

I was so happy he had that little breakaway, then I came back to reality. I would hope we would at least just taken a shot or something. I mean, just the other day he had this sick pass that almost lead to a goal.

The problem with dressing a goon, and its just like it was last year.

The Kings lack an offensive star beyond Kopitar, but they do have quite a bit of offensive depth, especially with Richardson and Schenn on a 4th line. Because of this lack of elite skill the Kings are going to have to be a scoring by committee type offense this season, and when you play a goon it destroys Richardson and Schenn's ability to create any kind of offense and cuts the scoring by committee by 25%

If the Kings had a Kovalchuk or Gaborik with Kopitar then maybe you can have your 4th line be a protection unit, but with how our roster looks right now I'd much rather have a hockey player who can contribute like Lewis or Moller.

Blaming this loss on Westgarth makes you sound ridiculous.

Moving on.

Who's blaming it on him? People are just pointing out that he's sucked so far this season.

No one is saying Westgarth is the reason we lost, but he really doesn't fit anywhere at the moment.

Simmonds/Schenn/Richardson were great tonight, and he just doesn't fit with Poni/Zeus.
