Dallas is out of the playoff race at the trade deadline.
Dallas is forced to trade Richards rather than risking losing him for nothing.

In the event that Lethonen remains healthy, I think Dallas is in the playoff hunt at the deadline, and holds is willing to risk losing Richards for nothing to make a strong playoff run. I'm very skeptical about Richards willingness to sit through another losing season when many good teams would love ot have him.
okay.. that makes more sense to me, i read 'loss' as in 'lost to injury'.. but i still think (maybe optimistically) that we shouldn't assume that the 2010 version of raycroft will sink us horribly. this is all hypothetical, and not much that anyone could control either, so it seems silly, if not moot to fret over it. guess we'll know better if raycroft ever gets a start lol

The start of a six game home stand is tonight, and it's crucial the Stars get at least eight points out of it.

I got up from my death bed to tell you guys good luck. Nashville was fun to watch vs the Pens, but its probably cause they only have to deal with them once a year. Just hope the Stars stay focused as the Preds are still one of the least penalized teams in the league and they should be looking for pts as they've lost their last 3ish in OT.

terrible start. Besides the goal, Nashville is already noticably the harder working team

looks like it could be a repeat of every Dallas Nashville game in the last 3 years.

Did the Nashville player actually touch that, or did Lehtonen just knock it in his own net?

Once again the inability of the Stars to clear the zone results in a goal.

What was Robidas' excuse to start the game with a random icing? That immediately put them on their heels.

Niskanen swings and misses at pucks more than any player I've ever seen. Perhaps he needs Lasik.

They should've just advertised it as a Texas Rangers pep rally led by Derek Holland and not mentioned that there would be a hockey game.

the effort level has improved but not by enough yet. They need to string several shifts togather like the last one.

just tie it up before the end of the period Dallas

The stream I have is so bad I couldn't tell from the quality who was home at first and I saw it so empty and I assumed they were in Nashville till I say the center ice.

I mean if the Rangers played today yeah I understand but what the hell...

Wandell, stuff that in the open net.

Well two lines are playing well, though none of them appear to be interested at playing in the defensive end.

Terrible economy + terrible team last year with no big additions over the summer + loathing of Tom Hicks + people spending their money on uber-pricey World Series tickets = this crowd.

Burish turned that one over at the offensive blueline with the drop pass, not Neal like Ralph called.
