New lines for tomorrow's game

Not impressed, tbh

Quote:
Booth-Weiss-Frolik

Stillman-Santorelli-Dvorak

Higgins-Reasoner-Olesz

Reinprecht-Matthias-Bernier/Hordichuk

Vokoun back in net. Guess it's because NYI is doing so well and are in First.

dont like these lines at all myself. im convinced that frolik and weiss on the same line is a bad idea. both are kinda ******* imo and that line lacks toughness no matter who you throw on the other side. id rather see frolik play with mathias at center with higgins or someone else across from them who can shoot the puck. that would give you playmaking ability from frolik, someone to shoot, and a big body to bang in rebounds.

the word that got edited out is another way of calling a cat a kitty

Matthias demoted to the 4th line? Deboer barely plays his 4th line, so how is matthias supposed to help the team in that situation? IMO he will get bumped up if we get down by 2 goals early like the last game.

LOL Why is Matthias demoted to the 4th line? He should be the 1st line center right now by merit. And Olesz gets dropped to the 3rd line with stone hands Higgins. DeBoer makes no sense half the time.

I dont understand why he would break up that "Boom" line. Ridiculous lines if you ask me. Thanks for the info though, now I can go change my lines for the GDT tom.

Great job. Lets put the 1st line that hasn't worked back together, and lets split 2 lines that were working pretty well.

DeBoer is a great coach.

Yeah, I too have no idea why he would break up the Booth-Matthias-Olesz line and then keep Weiss on the top line.

So much for accountability. Everyone else has already listed all the problems with this lineup so I won't restate them, but these decisions don't seem to make much sense.

If DeBoer wanted to make changes, he should have made them during last game.

DeBoer didn't like the way Matthias played last night.
I just saw the video from this morning, and he made that pretty obvious.

I don't know the specific reason, but he wasn't satisfied with Matthias last night.

In deboer comments after practice today , he said he only thinks reasoners line has been consistent threw all 5 games. Everyone else will be shuffled to get things going. He said matthias didnt bring it last game so hes giving santo a chance in his spot and hopefully santo takes advantage. Its kind of a good thing if you penalize players for a so-so off performance cause then players will know they have to be at their best each game or else they get demoted . Putting the big three together , is just outta respect and thought that they will produce its just a matter of time . Trust me , if he sees its not working he will shuffle , during the game , so i guess will see what happens

I don't really like this team much, so DB can shuffle the lines all season for all that I care b/c it's not going to make much of a difference when you lack SCORING TALENT!!!!

I watched 90% of the game last night and thought Matthias was one of the few able to create chances himself. There were at least 2 or 3 times this happened. How he's down to the 4th line is beyond me.

So DeBoer puts Matthias on the 4th line after one "bad" game yet Frolik is still on the top line after 5 games of crap. What happened to accountability?

Agreed and agreed. What's further, he puts back together a line that hasn't worked? Break up Frolik and Weiss, it's not been that successful a line.

DeBoer's annoying as hell.

Bernier - Reasoner - Dvorak
Stillman - Santorelli - Hordichuk

Pressbox: Reinprecht

They've got Konopka, DeBo should have Hordi in the lineup.

Wow, so everyone is anti-Pete now I see. Give him a break, look what he has to work with. Everyone should know by now after Martin gets back into the playoffs after leaving this organization. And if anyone needs to catch heat, it's Hulton, not Pete.

I'm sure that the only goal we scored by Weiss (Frolik assisted & Booth) has a lot to do with that line being put back together. And c'mon guys, it's line shuffling which happens all the time. It's not like this is set in stone and won't change for the rest of the season.

Make no mistake, I don't mind tanking this season. If we make the playoffs, that's cool too. But by some of the posts in last night's game thread, it sounded like a lot of you thought we'd go to the Stanley Cup Finals if we won. And since we didn't win, our playoff chances are over... after game number 5. Lol

If the first line puts up big donuts in this game then we know who to question, and it ain't the players. I thought Matthias was one of the hardest working forwards last game and he ends up on the fourth line.

I agree with everyone. I was at the game Thursday too, and Matthias was one lone bright spot.

PDB is really an idiot! He should be fired.

He should have done something after the first period against Dallas -- he did nothing. Should have juggled likes, put Clem in.

Instead he reacts a day late, and with the wrong action. PDB YOU ARE AN IDIOT! I HOPE YOU'RE READING THIS BECAUSE YOU REALLY NEED TO KNOW YOU'RE AN IDIOT!

The players were not ready against Dallas, that's largely the coach's fault after a long layoff. All Dallas did was to outskate them, and PDB had no clue.

Matthias get's demoted because he was our most dangerous forward last game? I don't get DeBoer. All this talk about rolling 4 lines he rarely uses his 4th lines. Now is he gonna insert Hordie in for 4 shifts tonight? Once we go down he cuts the bench down to 2 lines.
