Yeah, at least Chico is somewhat funny, and is a nice guy. Edwards is just a ******.

Ani's goal was definitely NOT a fluke, though it is according to the Bruins board. He batted it out of the air while making sure not to commit a high sticking right into the side of the goal.

Frolov's goal definitely WAS a fluke, but he's been playing good enough that i'm happy he got the goal so when we look at stats people don't rip him apart .

Also, sort of off-topic, I hate venturing over to other boards when we win. The Bruins and the Leafs are both like "YEAH WE LOST TO THE RAGS BECAUSE WE PLAYED LIKE GARBAGE, WE CAME OUT FLATFOOTED AND LOST."

I love how other teams never give us any credit for a win.

I don't blame the fans, when you have to listen to those a-hole announcer eventually you start to sound like them.... I mean serious, "The Rangers were lucky the game wasn't 5 minutes longer" or whatever that BS comment was at the end.

He's just bitter because the majority of the player on the Bruins last Stanley Cup winning team are now collecting old age pensions.

I dislike Avery's ******** - always have, always will. IMO you can be an effective agitator without being the flat-out idiot and ********* that he frequently is. Frankly, I will likely never be a fan.

HOWEVER, I loved what he did when Fedotenko got hit. That - THAT - is playing aggressive, chippy hockey the way it should be played. Kudos.

Starting a fight because a guy delievered a clean hit? That's what you want to see?

I mean your going to get the extra 2 every time.

Absolutely. (And for the record, I completely agree that it was a clean hit.) That kind of hit by Stuart could be a momentum shifter and certainly sets the tone for a team to take a more aggressive approach against the Rangers. Coming back to take the guy on defuses the momentum and resets the tone - it's kind of like a good, hard foul on a guy cruising up the lane for a dunk in basketball. (Although, of course, you have to pick your spots - down by one with 5 minutes to go, I'd be screaming at him.)

Now, the ******** whacking a guy repeatedly in the back of the ankles on the other hand... That's the kind of crap while I'll never be a fan.

Aside from the poor PP and boatload of penalties we took, yeah. It was another hard fought game with a great effort.

Basketball reference lost on me...... I guess I read too much into your first response...... this did seem like a good time to risk the extra 2, but to start a fight after ever clean hit just makes a mockery of the game. Players have to take some responsibilities for their own actions when they let themselves get layed out.

I give credit to the other team a lot. I was very surprised when the Rangers were up 4-3 on the Islanders on Columbus Day. When AA scored, I yelled to my friend, "they shouldn't even be winning this game!". Same on the Boyle goal against the Leafs.

Couple of points

1) First off...GREAT JOB by the Ranger fanbase...you make me wish I was still in college in Boston on nights like this.
The Bruins tickets aren't easy like a drunk *** as they were in 2006 due to bandwagonism, and we certainly are not a chic team, and it's October hockey, but on TV...we heard YOU!

After every goal, I heard cheering, I thought I heard a "LGR" chant and I thought I heard people going "Dubi" when he touched the puck.
I defintely saw patches of blue throughout, nice job.
One of the things which makes me proud to be a Ranger fan is our fanbase and it's hardcore dedication that the Boston Bruins fickle base will NEVER touch.

2) Excellent hustle tonight, this club bought into Torts system, they showed up, and made it easier for Torts to rotate his usal 3 lines and 4 d.

3) Marc Staal and the opportunistic ability of the team.

4) The PK and the overall resilancy.

5) Lundqvist played Vezina solid tonight and it rubbed off, his confidence, on everybody.

People can say what they want about Avery. But he has always protected his teammates during games. He fought Carcillo last year, he tried to fight Armstrong. And Stuart is a tough defensemen.

Dude that was an awesome game. Going over the highlights, Jack Edwards is such a tool.
He was making such a big deal about Avery in the fight as if Avery was sucker-punching, (which he wasn't) when you know that Edwards would be lucky to get a slap or nail scratch in were he in a fight.

And oh, somebody mentioned Ranger fans.
Easily 2-3000 in attendance.
There were Lets Go Rangers chants going on and yes, Brandon D was getting Duuuuuubed too!

We own the Bruins fanbase, I've never seen nearly as many Bruins fans at MSG as what we had at there tonight.
