I'm most interested in what Viqsi is thinking, since she claimed to be the know it all on everything CBJ related. And of course Howson was perfect in her eyes.
But it's ok, I hold no grudges.

I wonder if Palinka will follow Howson to 7/11.

Palinka has already made it clear. All this team needs is a goalie. The rest will take care of itself. We have good players, a good coaching staff and a great GM.

What is there to weigh in on? The results speak for themselves. Those on the other side have no argument but to deny reality.

This was the most heartless performance in team history.

Let Howson's defenders come forward and defend this garbage. I need a laugh.

I just love this line...

For a game, at least, the Flyers were the big winners in the offseason trade that sent leading scorer Jeff Carter to Columbus. Carter is sidelined with a broken foot and has only three assists in five games this season. Philadelphia obtained Voracek, who had an assist during the first-period rampage, and first- and third-round draft picks. The Flyers used their first-rounder on the 18-year-old Couturier and he already has five goals.

There was the 5-1 against Nashville that got King fired. I think that was a full house that night.

This was probably worse though.

Umm, I'm pretty sure everybody has been calling both of these guys out in addition to others, where have you been?

Same place he always is when he thinks he's come up with something profound that's been discussed for months or years....

So let's see what this big shakeup is supposed to be after this loss. After all it's rumored so it must be true.

Fact or fiction? Tonite had 2 separate calls that coincidentally linked #Kings Ron Hextall 2 #Bluejackets. Either way how long do they wait?

Kypreos can be hit or miss but I thought this was interesting and is at least worth thinking about.

Ron Hextall, Dave Nonis, John Ferguson Jr., Craig Button ... all names afloat around the NHL.

I'm guessing Porty is basically saying Howson is on his way out. This is good news obviously. Funny thing they did a segment at the game tonight on Hextall and he said his goal was still to become an NHL GM. He's got my vote, he played with so much heart...

We cannot have any more on the job training in Columbus. We CANNOT build a Taj Mahal with furniture we are buying at Big Lots.

I don't believe in that.

A good GM is a good GM. I don't want a guy with experience but failed.

If Hextall is the guy, then go get him. Get the guy you believe in.

Here's what I believe....

I don't believe that being a former player qualifies you to be a GM. Throw in the fact that goalies have head problems and I rest my case. NO!

I don't believe being a former player qualifies you as well, but if he's the right guy and has shown to be the right guy, you hire him, former player/goalie or not.

Everyone that comes in here is believed to be the right guy. Then the 'circle of suck' brings them down! Who the **** knows who the 'right' guy is!?

Being in a professional and winning environment and showing that said person can lead an organization.

Nah, I'm leaning more toward whips and chains. These guys need some discipline.

On a more serious note, if I were in charge of picking out the new GM, I would look for someone who loved the game. They would have to be a fan of the game and preferably the Blue Jackets. Yeah, I'm serious.

I think the only person who can lead us out of this mess, and it is a hot mess, is someone who has Union Blue blood running through their veins. I think you have to put the team above everyone else, to have that passion, that fire, to make it work. We want that out of our players, why not our GM?

We're in bad shape. You only need to look around this board to see what the answer is. It's passion. It's been missing for a long time. Maybe the answer really is in the room...but it's Passion.

Ar-too Dee-too it is you!

Where the heck have you been hiding? Perhaps the same place our real team is, 'cause this clearly isn't it.

The guys that would do the "believing in" are the same that continued to give MacLean "another year", hired Priest into a position that, frankly, he has no business being in, and greenlighted the hire of an assistant GM from Edmonton, who, despite being a "Capologist", has proven with more money spent, he's bumbled the roster even worse and who's swan song might have been last night....

We can't afford another one of those....

I'm glad these guys might be ready for primetime, but we have a huge mess here, long term contracts that won't expire for years or a decade.... This will not be an easy situation for anybody, especially another rookie GM....
