Only reason he got apenalty there kid because the back of his jersey reads AVERY how about the league checks their officials imean it happens to every team they all have their avery type player I bet if the league suspended some of the head officials they'd get it.

Awesome period by the Rangers.

Serious question. Has there been a game since the lockout when we could all confidently say "wow, the Refs really cut the Rangers some slack tonight"?

Anyone that says cally has no offensive skills, or sucks at offense is a moron. He has 22, and 19 goals the last 2 years. He has 4 assists this year, a really pretty one to set up AA the other night. He gets the job done.

Once again, Avery plays against a different set of rules. He took a stick right across the chops.

Anyone see the Texas v. Yankee Game 6??

I know its not 100% accurate but, i've never seen so many balls outside that TBS strikezone graphic be called strikes before.

excellent period. they have been playing really well.

the boston game felt like a playoff game so far tonite, the pace has been similar.

this is how hockey should be played and watched.

very impressed with this team the last 2 1/3 games.

They do suck but their not playing favorites. They're just blind apparently. Usually their out of shape middle age dudes that can't get in position to make the proper call.

Jed Ortmeyer was all heart and hussle. Why wasn't he capable of netting 20G or 19G.

I'm not suggesting he's very talented. I'm just saying the phrase ZERO OFFENSIVE SKILLS and Callahan shouldn't be used in the same sentence.

Maybe... And I wouldn't really blame him if that was the case, although Eminger makes me cringe a bit.

He was kind of handcuffed. Think of it like this: If that same exact play was reversed, we would be praising Henrik for a great save instead of killing on the Devil that couldn't bury that opportunity.

Back-to-Back game. Jas made a great point in how MDZ and Gilroy regressed last season because of the workload.

If Eminger maintains this mediocre play, and is outplaying either Gilroy or Sauer by mid-season, then i'll have a big problem with the decision.

The actual penalty was for high sticking, so the call is when for Avery went at the Devil defender with his hands, not his stick.

Plus then he got hit and then dumped by two other Devils.

Excellent first aside from the ghost call on Avery.

Hopefully Fatso implodes soon or this will be another 0-0 to a shootout nailbiter.

I know I'm a little late to the party, but I was making dinner and getting beers so I'm a few mins behind, but how the hell was that a penalty on Avery?

Trottier's posts this summer onwards have been amazing. My how the mighty have fallen.

Rangers need to be careful here. Jersey is getting some good chances on the PP and the rangers need to stop with the dumbass penalties.

Eminger. I don't understand.

-Dubinsky was an animal that period. Dubinskys passing has improved dramatically this season. He has been setting people up with prime scoring opportunities every game. We just haven't been able to finish.

-Cally with a strong period. It is incredible that Cally is able to play at such a high level of intensity every single shift.

-No clue why Sauer is a healthy scratch. I thought he was really good last game.

-Marty played really well that period and kept the Devils in it.

The team looks solid, but definitely misses Marian Gaborik.
