Did notice JD and Armstrong watching the game. Why would they both be at MSG? Why would they want Eminger? But they must be looking at someone. Maybe Lou want to trade Kovy to the Blues?

Everyone Else

-We controlled the first 50 minutes of this game and almost let it slip away at the end.

-Marty is the only reason this game was close. He played really well. He kept the Devils in the game the during the first 50 minutes when they looked awful.

-That was a nice blind pass by Zubrus on the Devils goal. I thought Zubrus was the only Devil that really stood out to me.

-Elias is either really disinterested or old. Can't tell.

-Still not sure why Sauer was a healthy scratch.
I'd put Prust up there with Boyle.

For anyone who was watching the post game interview with Avery, does he really go to his bar right after home games?

Gross says Sauer had undisclosed soreness which is why he was scratched.

Whatever that means.

This makes me SO SO SO SO SO happy to hear.

I really was questioning Torts based on this decision.

Love Sauer but he's always dinged up.

They'll need to get an LD better than Eminger at some point.

Team has stepped up in Gaborik's absence, played good team defense, and has gotten goals the hard way from a depleted forward crew.

In a week, Gaborik will be back and replacing Williams, moving Prust to the 4th line

In another 2 or so weeks, Drury will be back and perhaps taking Christensen's spot, adding to our PK and maybe getting some dirty goals in front.

And a few weeks after that, Prospal might be back.

Gonna be a nice set of reinforcements.

That makes sense now. He played really well against Boston, I figured there had to be an injury behind the scratch. So technically it wasn't really a healthy scratch.

Good win they definately outplayed the devils most of the game. Playing back to back and 3 in 4 nights the team did look like they were sitting on there lead in the 3rd. Torts is really leaning on the top 4 defensemen and Dubi & Cally

I thought Dubinsky had a great game. IMO he was the best forward on the ice. Glad to see Cally finally burry one of his chances. Rozsival played great too. Good to see him shooting the puck more.

We were still on the edge of our seats in the last minutes of both our regulation wins.
How about three? 3 essentially one goal games there for the losing and not only did they not lose but they won without overtime or a shootout and essentially gave a full 60 minutes in each game. That's a little less Old Ranger in my book? While it's to early to say these are not your father's Rangers, I like what I see. This team doesn't have the talent to compete head to head with many teams but their work ethic these last 3 games has negated that issue. And if you don't want to sit on the edge of your seat watch golf.

Oh ..... and your Kovalchuk going ape **** prediction was not even close while my prediction of a win if they showed up was right on.

This was going to be MY post! lol

What I saw tonight at The Garden was Dubi & Cally maturing and starting to put their personal stamp on this team. Tonight they moved towards ownership of this team. It is going to be THEIR team.

When the vets come back, Dubi & Cally need to act & play exactly the way they have been in the last 3 games. They can't hand the team over to Drury and go back to playing secondary roles.

Even Gaborik has to "know" this is their team. THAT is our identity that is emerging at long last. We cannot go back to the schlepprock team.
