That guy was lucky enough to play behind one of the most powerful offensive squads in the league. To me he never really stole a game in the playoffs and his rebound control was worse than pazzy's and elliott's
yes we should go after him. and at this price;
add marleau and thornton in with the deal and we'll give them kovalev, leclaire and the remaining 50% off cheechoo jerseys in the sens store at sbp.
dont miss the boat bm
Is he better than what we have now? Maybe
Does he have experience? The cup says it all.
Is the slight upgrade worth assets? Not really.
He might be an upgrade to what we have now, but not a big enough one to trade assets for. We need somebody to steal us games, not somebody good enough to make the saves. Our defense isn't anywhere near as good as it was in the past.
We may never know unless we take a chance on a guy. It's better trying out a guy who is in his mid 20's than taking chances on old, washed up players .
Niemi made some huge saves in the finals, that one on Carter with 2 minutes to go in game 6 stood out the most , but he had a lot more. Blackhawks wouldn't have won the cup with Huet and his usual meltdown in nets
Thanks but no thanks. Granted he has a ring but the defense was the difference. He would get lit up behind our current core. If he's not doing well in San Jose, what makes people think he'd be better here?
