I was thinking the same thing. I thought Toews-Kane-Whomever was a static line for them.
Actually they have hardly played together this year. Hossa has mainly been the RW on Toews line, while Sharp has centered Kane the most. But with Q as coach don't think to much into the lines at all, just wait 3 mins and they will be different.
Going to be a very tough game for the Hawks. So far this season it has looked like they are just going through the motions. Even when they finally do get going we make a bone headed play or take a stupid penalty to lose all momentum.
Plus for as much crap as HF boards like to give Brian Campbell, the Hawks are never close to being as good without him. We have struggled some in the transition game and entering the zone. Which was Campbell's best strength and now Kieth is pressing and try to do it all by himself.
Anyway should be a good game if the Hawks decide to show up and play with some emotion, if not Kings win fairly easy.
Ugh.. Two straight games, no Brayden Schenn. I'm sure he'll go tomorrow but I really don't think it's a good idea to have these kids up here and not playing
This game specifically I think they see it the same way they see Quick playing the divisional games. Tomorrow is the second of a back to back with a divisional rival so we will play our best 4th liner in Schenn (who doesn't appear to be in good enough shape to handle a full game to Murray's standard yet).
I cant imagine they keep Clifford up, he will have a good future with us but hes done very little to show that he should stay up. Once he's back to junior I don't think you'll see Schenn sitting very often.
VS. CHICAGO ALL-TIME:
Last 10: 4-4-2
Last 10 road: 3-6-1
Streaks: Kings are 1-4-1 in their last six overall (3-1-09)
Kings have lost 4 straight (0-3-1) in Chicago (since 3-1-09)
When a King goes to the box, it's the Kings #4 ranked PK vs. the #3 ranked PP. When Chicago goes it's the 17th best PK vs. the Kings PP at #19. Question is, which Kings PP is going to show up tonight - if it's the one that's been there these past couple games then that might be the difference in this one.
5/5 Kings are #7 at 1.33 vs. Chicago's #22 at 0.84.
