What style of fan are you?

At Scotiabank place, which style describes you best?

The FANATIC: painted face, spartan gear, flag waving, trying to start the wave no less than 5 times each game.

The HECKLER: Chirping other fans, booing the other teams and their fans.

The DRINKER: Dropping more cash on tallboys than you did on your ticket. Spend more time in the washroom line than in your seat.

The FOCUSER: Edge of your seat, totally absorbed in the game, can't take your mind off the game for two seconds, not even to cheer. Almost wet yourself when we score.

The FAMILY MAN: Coca-cola family zone. Bring the kids, grab some dinner and the game. Get ticked off at all of the swearing going on.

The STRATEGIST: Roughly as interested in the game as you are with Clouston's choice of line combos, or with berating your best friend who thinks that next year's cap will be $60M, when anyone with half a brain knows that it's not going to be a dollar over $59.5M.

I stare at the game. Then when we score, I fist pump like a champ.

I would say I'm a drinker, fanatic, heckler hybrid.

Depends how the game is going for the Sens, but I'm usually 'The Focuser' type though.

I don't live close to SBP so 90% of the games I go to are at the ACC or HSBC Arena. So I kind of have to adapt and heckle back at the dumb ass home fans.

It's nice to see there are a few fanatics here. I don't have the balls to go quite that far, but appreciate the guys who do.

It's funny because at time's i am all. Except for the family man of course.

I'm a huge fan. My room is red black and gold. I own every jersey. Hundreds of memorabilia.
I love to heckle the opposition and our own crappy players.
I love to drink...in fact i am chugging beer as we speak. cheers.
At times...ex.big powerplay,i yell at everyone to shut up and i just zone out on the tv. 100% focused.
When i smoke a few pipe hits or whatever, and i'm all high, i come up with strategies and plans on how we can win.

In no instance am i ever a family man. If i had to pick one though, judging by my room...it would be the fan one and the other one...what's it called, the alcoholic one.

I would say i am most often a cross between the Strategist and the Focused fan but if nobody else steps up, i am the Fanatic.

Heckler for sure.

Chanting the other goalie's name by myself all game long.

And of course always booing the other team. Getting a fan of the opposing team next to me is a bonus for sure.

I guess I'd be about half Focuser and half Heckler. Maybe a little bit of strategist in there too.

None of them. I try to watch objectively, I don't get too excited or upset unless it's a big event. I'm a patient observer and however the team performs I can deal with rationally (for the most part haha).

leave it up to the senators fans to come up with a great idea during a period of downturn. however i really shouldn't be positive towards your franchise but do you mind if i steal it?

Sure you can add copycats as a category for your poll.

THE DECIEVER

That guy who doesn't wear the Sens jersey, who hardly cheers when the team scores and doesn't look at all interested in the game when really I care more about it than half the people in the building.

Used to be the DRINKER, turned into the FOCUSER, throwing in some HECKLER occasionally. Realized that when my kid cheers for the other team, I should be more FAMILY MAN.

Yeah, I can be a bit of a few of them. I'm never a heckler ... but I'm ALWAYS enthralled in the game, and on the edge of my seat... and I am LOUD when we score. And I usually have a drink or two --- leaving out Alfie's 1000th game celebration day (Dropping more cash on tallboys than you did on your ticket --- definitely me that night!).

Family man. But I don't tell anyone not to swear unless they are right next to my kids. If the guy is dropping F-bombs right into the back of their heads, I might say something, but otherwise I just try and make sure I'm not the one dropping F-bombs.
My kids play hockey and let me tell you, 8 year olds already know all the swear words. After a game last week, after my son got dressed, I noted that his hair was totally soaked.

He replied, "That's because I was skating my ****ing ass off!"

We had to have a little chat after that.

A couple of my Sens jerseys have some playoff paint smears, yes. My friends and I have rented school buses to SBP and home to facilitate our copious drinking. But that was then, and lately I've mellowed into a FOCUSER, with the occasional STRATEGIST lapse, like that preseason game against the Leafs where I was screaming "Now is not the time to pinch!" at Milan Michalek on the penalty kill like he could hear me from the 300s! Turns out I was right, the game winning goal was scored on the ensuing turnover. I think the amount of reasonably informed fans in Ottawa is what leads to those eerily quiet moments at SBP, we are being FOCUSERS. This focuser fist pumps for sure though. Last game I went to the guy next to me bailed into the row in front of us when Kovalev got in his fight. Now that's enthusiasm!
