OT - Software to study for Quebec Driving test

Hey,

I was wondering if any of you knew the name of that software they use to prepare you for the SAAQ test. It's a really old-school piece of software that my driving school had running on a 386's.

What was it called? I assume it's standardized.

I had a software running on DOS that has almost all the questions from the test and all the answers (I think there were 800+ questions). I assume it's that one you are talking about. You just have to go through all the questions and you should be ready.

Yeah that's exactly the one. I did my test years ago and haven't done much driving since. I was thinking of taking a look at those questions again as a refresher for road signs and stuff. Do you remember what it was called?

I have the CD. But it's in a .bin/.cue file so you would need to either burn it onto a cd or use a Drive Emulator. Let me know if you want it.

It should be an exact replica of the actual test.

Try the SAAQ website. I practiced with it and passed my test. Should've read the book too though.

I swear I'm not trying to be a smartass, but if the Quebec one is anything like the one I did here, likely you could get all the studying necessary done in the amount of time it would take you to get a DOS ap actually running.

...and frankly, if you can get a DOS ap running, you likely don't need to study for your driving test

Using DOSBOX or VMware, I could get it running in minutes. I wouldn't be suprised if it runs normally on XP anyway.

I already passed my test years ago (read the thread ), I just forgot half the rules due to not driving often.

Yeah, sorry, late post. Congrats.

Just saying, the fact that you know what DOSBOX or VMware are, likely proves you can memorize road signs and do a backwards turn

I realize they're unrelated and all, but unless Quebec has some crazy driving tests compared to other provinces, they're not exactly difficult.

Looking for Quebec Driving test software

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone in has the software for the Quebec driving test. I was told I could find it here.

I know it is running on DOS, but I am quite familiar with that operating system.

Please let me know how to find it.

Thanx

Shulko Sarmiento

Just remember...

The only thing that is ILLEGAL to have in a trailer that you have attached to your pick-up truck is ; People.

The incorrect answers are ; Animals, Drugs, Firearms.

Imagine that? Car gets pulled over and the cop, glasses on and brushing his mustache, asks you "Got anything in the trailer there son?" You insist no, nothing but you know he's going to check anyways.

"Well what do we got HE... Oh nevermind Bob, it's clear. Just a bunch of coke-snortin' dogs unloading some double-barrelled shotguns. You're clear to go Sir."

Quebec Driving Test Software (Auto-Réussite)

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone still had that Quebec Driving test Software (I think it's called Auto-Réussite but I am not sure). It was an old DOS-application which had all the questions for the test in both English and French.

Thanks

Ah, how I was worried about this test a couple years ago when I did it and ended up coming out with 2 wrong answers in all 3 parts

I knew about the saaq site but it is not the same thing as the dos-application which is much more closer to the actual test.

Meh, the site is fine. I ran through the test on the website a few times and then had no problems passing the test.
