Really? I don't get why MSG had 18,200 the last 4+ years only know to have 3 games already that are barely not sell outs.
I mean, if the Rangers are padding their sales, why not buy up all remaining seats (if of course you can actually buy up your own tickets which I'm skeptical on).
So you really think the actual box score this season is
A. The true number of tickets sold
B. No different than last year, we just aren't getting the leftovers padded? If so...that's not bad...300 empty seats...big deal.
I'm curious, people here talk about losing a lot of season subscribers, is this all over or just the 50s, 100s, and 200s?
How many ticket holders do you think we lost?
Also, if you had to guess what our nightly fannies in the seat number was, what would you say?
They used to a long time ago in the NFL give two numbers:
-tickets sold+no shows
Attendance, Is always a little lower this time of year between baseball and football but it usually picks up after the WS. The 300,s and 400,s are always packed it is the lower seats where you notice the difference. I think if they keep playing good the crowds will be more into it. It would help not to go 1-4 at home.

I wonder what our real numbers are.
It seems to me that it's mostly in the clubs as well as 100s/200s on the 7th Ave end. I keep getting emails from the Rangers about their 85th anniversary ticket packages. A lot of subscribers who had seats in the lower sections have moved up to the 300s/400s as prices have skyrocketed in recent years. I'm not sure they publish the actual number of season subscribers and total seats they hold. But there is no arguing there are a lot of seats available.
I don't think there were any attendance issues tonight.
It clearly looked on TV like a real sell-out, the place was packed.
If you can't sell out a home game against the defending SC champs I'd say you have problems. MSG was pretty full tonight...although I did observe quite a few club level seats that were empty.
Now how did MSG seem tonight against Chicago compared with the other games where they "claim" to sell out or where they fall maybe 300 short?
Was it noticably more jammed, which would give some proof that the other sell outs or 17,900 box scores aren't legit but fake?

tonight was pretty full especially 100 and 200's...i had trouble getting into the stairwell...and i was shuffling my feet the entire way thru the lobby...alot of fan traffic tonight, the garden was good tonight
The 300,s were packed tonight as the real fans seemed to come out. Also the lower section were much more crowded. I talked to a group in my section 339 and they said they had a hard time getting tickets.
