We tried that... sadly during the PP and Zajac got hurt because of it.

the caps were 6-14-1 on november 22nd, they were the first team in history to be last place in the league and still make the playoffs. They won 11 of their last 12 which they needed to do to get in.

Sharks started 0-8-1 in the 93-94 season, if Ozolinsh (or was it Garpenlov) had scored in ot (hit the post) of game 6 in the Campbell Conference semi’s against the Leafs, then they woulda gone on to play the Canucks in the CC Finals in only their 3rd season
we're getting up there, for sure.

well, he will be sticking around for the next 200 years so he's definitely got the time.

Ya know.. the guys who have done absoultely nothing when it matters for the last 3 coaches.
God it turns my stomach to see Parise's name there, but it's absolutely true. Is he even on the ice tonight? I'm waiting for Adam Oates to throw on a pair of skates, jump on the ice and show these guys how to complete a pass. Unbelievable.

I never thought I'd be embarrassed to be a Devils fan.

Is it bad that I'm judging what beer to drink in my fridge tonight based on ABV?

My point exactly when is the last time we've run a stretch of games where you didn't hear about Zach in every third sentence?

30 shots to 21? Only through 2 periods? Never seen a devils team give up that many shots in maybe 2 games

X's and O's coaching isn't solely on the coach. The players also have to understand. Players aren't just minions that the coach gives orders to. They do have minds of their own. I'm in the camp that believes the coach doesn't really have a huge impact on what the team does on the ice.

Let's hope there is a log-jam for the bottom seeds again. I knew the Oilers started weak but I had no idea it went that far.

That's essentially why I said I'm not giving up. Not the Oilers, that is, just that it's so early it can be turned around.

But the team needs STRUCTURE. There is no cohesion, discipline, or plan of attack here, and that's on the coaching staff.

30 shots. and that doesn't count the ones that skeeter around the net.

Marty's % is going up. if it gets up around .910-915 and they're still sucking, turn out the lights, the party's over.

I'd settle for mediocre at this point. This team is plain bad.

This team will never be in rebuild mode cause they have too many decent pieces they can move to upgrade at our biggest weaknesses, we have a couple of good looking prospects and at worst we have a crappy season this year and start off fresh next year with a better defense that can move the puck and help out our offense by actually jumping in the play and creating some ****ing offense.
