Wellman looked stronger on the puck in his 1st shift.

Gillies looks nice too.

Switched up the lines. Miettinen is out with an illness.

Top 2 lines are:

Brunette- Koivu - Kobasew
Havlat - Cullen - Wellman

Anyone else bugged that the Ovie signed jersey doesn't have a "C" on it?

Mittens is out with what I'm assuming is the flu that has been working its way around the team.

And of course Greenlay and Terhaar don't mention how the Wild passed on Carlson.

I stand by the belief one of the Backstroms needs a goatee.

Hey a great defensive play by Mike Green! And to think he's just a fourth forward...

Did Greenlay basically call the Wild developmentally-challenged?

fun fact: the Caps are the only team that didn't beat the Wild at the X.

Thank goodness he's out... we have someone who has a proven ability to shoot on the top line for a change.

I'm enjoying the fact that all lines are creating offensive chances.

Another fun fact, the Caps have gone 17yrs without a win in Minnesota.

Fun period...not a TON of chances for us but we're flying out there..I love the lines. Backstrom hasn't even been tested yet...which means we played a pretty damn good period of hockey.

It's too bad they didn't play in one of those neutral-site games the NHL had in the Twin Cities after the North Stars left.
