One goal won't be enough for a richards team. Havlat looks good but nothin to show for it. Wanna punch stoner in the nuts to make him pay attention. Wellman gillies both happy to be up and shows.caps r sloppy as****. Not wut I expected

The Caps came out flat, which makes sense after playing last night, but overall I'm happy with how the period went. Throw in the fact that the Wild didn't take a penalty and it's fiesta time!

Wouldn't have counted anyway, those were only pre-season games.

Wow, props for the dedication! Koivu's been fairly invisible although has had a couple opportunities to set something up.

From what I've noticed so far, Gillies has absolutely no sense of anticipation. He lets the play develop and then reacts accordingly, but too slowly to get his stick on the puck or at least throw his body into someone. Is that how he's always played?

No, they had real ones. I don't remember why they did, but every team had to play one or two. My dad took me to a couple of them at the Target Center and it was like Quebec versus the Islanders or Devils or something like that.

"That's just a good clean hit"

Maybe it's just me, but it's hard to say that when someone gets hit close to the head.

Man, when he wants to get going, he cannot get knocked off the puck

He was about a step away from going into the slot, faking Neuvirth out of his skates, scoring and then celebrating by drinking a beer.

Gillies shifts are too long. 5 of his 6 shifts have been 50+ seconds.
