Tim Thomas appreciation thread!

Only the 2nd B's goalie of all time to start a season 5-0

I love Tuukka. But Timmy is playing lights out! Credit where credit is due. Timmy is the man

Thomas has been incredible so far this season. I think Tuukka will get his game back to where it was last year and the Bruins will have the best goaltending in the league again.

Best goalie in the NHL right now (statistically).

But we should trade him 11!!

I'd like to know the last goalie to start a season with the stats Thomas has right now.

what's his Save%?

This guy is playing out of his mind.

That said, I really want to see Tuukka with the Sens. I know Thomas has earned it but I think the guys want to give Tuukka a decent game and I think Tuukka is chomping at the bit to play as good as Timmy.

But I'm certainly not going to complain if we see Timmah again

Thomas was amazing....total of 2 goals allowed in the 2 games against the Caps...and another shutout tonight.

Goaltending doesn't really get better than this....of course big credit goes to Chara too.

Love them both, but Timmy has definitely staked his claim to #1 early this season, hope he keeps it up, he's so fun to watch.

Whatever happens, I'll always appreciate Tim Thomas.

To all the amnesiacs who'd happily dump him in 2010, do you remember how dreadful, how truly dreadful the loser Bruins were in the OC era, and how Timmy played out of his mind from day one?

I'm sure someone will throw 2003 -- Raycroft Calder year -- at me, but please. Stop.

Thank you for all you've done Tim.

He has to stay in net for us. His numbers are unbelievable. Well done Timmah.

Thomas has been incredible.

At the end of the year, I see Thomas playing 50 and Rask playing 32. And their stats will be pretty much the same even though you would never guess it by watching their games.

With all due respect to Tuuka, Thomas shuts the Sens out even when he isn't on his game. He has a rediculous record against them. This is about getting wins right now and Thomas gives us the best chance for that. Like Julien said, the team will get a lot busier really soon and there will be plenty of opportunity to get Rask back into the flow and where his game needs to be.

This is arguably the best part about Thomas playing so well. Anyone remember how quiet they were the entire 208-09 season?

There's very little doubt on who the number one goaltender in Boston ( and the league ) is right now. Timmy showing up the haters... Gotta love it.

Just goes to prove what kind of person and player Tim Thomas is.

When most persons on this site were throwing him under the bus.
All the trade talk last year , over the summer and up to his 1st win of the season.
Getting a untimely injury to close out his playoff season play.

This guy ! ........................ deserves a standing ovation from all HFer's

I actually took a break from reading this board because of all the anti-Tim stuff, nobody in this house gave up on him!

It's gotta be him in Ottawa, he OWNS the Senators
