Bill Guerin as a scoring option?

Mods feel free to move this if it doesn't belong as a new thread (wasn't sure where this would fit in)

Apparently Guerin is still mulling retirement and yes he's long in the tooth, but he did pot 20 last year so he still knows how to hit the net. Wondering if there was any interest from my fellow Panther fans in trying to sign him.

Depending on expected salary, part of me would say to give him a one year contract if he is indeed capable of 20 goals per season again. Part of me says he might just be a waste.

DP, IMO there's 0 interest from the Panthers. Guerin is slow as molasses and doesn't fit into our projected team identity. Billy G potted 20 goals primarily because he was riding shotgun to Crosby last year(even still Pens fans lambasted him for missing so many quality scoring chances/slam dunks). I'd say we don't have a Sidney type player who can elevate those around them to that extent. Panthers give a vehement no.

About what I expected, but at this point not sure if we're desperate for scoring (I know the fans are which is why we don't run hockey teams .. )

Exactly what I was going to say - look who he played with last year. He'd be awful here.
