OMG the announcers were crying because Pronger and Carter were on the ice with Kimmo and Richards. Then the "analyst" said they should put Nodl and JvR on because they need goals. Hello, doofus, Nodl didn't return for the third period!

Would that even matter? Someone talking trash and crosschecking someone in the head are two totally different levels of misconduct. I wont be complaining if Briere gets 5 games, he deserves it.

yea but it all factors into the situation.. given how heated the ending of the game was going right up till the incident..

it would be different if Briere just skated over and smacked him out of the blue..

but with that said im sure he will get something.. the league dont like anything that involves hits to the head..

Did you really just call Frans Nielsen a goon?

He was terrific. The score was probably a determining factor in choosing the stars. Four players were deserving for three spots.

That was the worst game of the year. The fans hate that stuff, we want to see figure skating and shootouts.

Frans Nielsen? That little Dane can be called a lot of things I'm sure (most Danes can), but a goon? Has he even been registered for a hit yet in his NHL career?

LOL Frans Nielsen is the least harmful player on our team, the guy never chirps like that, obviously he had a reason too. But there is never a reason to try and chop a guys head off with a hockey stick.

It's actually Butch Goring thats terrible, he just started this season and Islander fans cant stand him because of how much of a Homer he is...even in the worst situations.

I agree.... Danny could have taken a guys eye out because he was talking trash. 48 should be suspended, hope he learns his lesson.

reminds me when rangers announcers kept saying "things are gonna get nasty now" when carcillo fought gaborik

new york gets all the whiny announcers i guess

Lol! Are you being serious? I love Danny, but I dont see how anyone can defend his cheap shot. And no trash talk gives Danny the right to take a shot like that.
