Plus/Minus Pens v Canes

+ Brent Johnson. What more can you say? He's unbelieveable. He makes all the saves he has to, and he even makes the hard ones. A shutout well deserved. 33 sog. He's just incredible right now.

+ Kennedy- he's playing out of his mind, and he's definitely someone I'd like to keep around if he keeps it up.

+ Team PK-from the net to the blueline, our team was making smart plays on the PK.

+ Dupuis. Gotta hand it to him, he was flying. Of course, he took a stupid penalty, but I'll forgive haha

- Too many penalties.

Have at it!

Hahaha FSN was hilarious tonight:

"I can see the heat coming off of Bylsma's head"

"Maybe he's wearing one of these boots!"

Errey was on a TEAR.

And wtf is with Dupuis' phantom moustache

+Reirden did a good job at managing the defensemen. No one got insane minutes despite Letang going out. Had a lot to do with Engelland and Lovejoy being able to handle more time.

+Letestu made a lot of smart little chip plays with the puck. I really liked the look of Cooke Letestu Kennedy.

+Crosby was competing hard all game and making the simple play.

+ Just a simple plus from me tonight: We played Penguins hockey for 60 minutes. I mentioned it in the GDT - it was simple, fast, tough, and effective.

I also thought this was one of Crosby's better games of the year.

+ Dupuis halloween costume as a first line winger. Can you guys imagine getting a legit one and having that production on a nightly basis?
+Sidney Crosby. Leadership is lead by example with him. blocking shots, making plays, etc.
+BJ. Sorry Fleury, hope that bench is comfy.

+ Cooke - Letestu - Kennedy: This line was amazing once again. They dominated the play and had a lot of chances. TK and Cooke are playing out of their mind and it's hard to not notice it. Everyone in the GDT is pointing out good play after good play for that line.

- Ben Lovejoy: First bad game in awhile, and that's to be expected for a youngster. He struggled off the start and just kept struggling.

1. Johnson
2. Dupuis - hey what do you know, last year's Dupuis showed up for once. If he shaves that stache I will personally hunt him down. It's the only thing giving him power right now.
3. Team D

-

1. Steigerwald and Errey are attrocious. Hey Paul, how about you READ up on the latest developments before each game. Mike Lange is your superior in every way, even when drunk. Want to know why? He does his homework, asshat. Try it sometime. "Malkin's out with an injury... we don't know what it is." KNEE Paul; it's a knee. He did the same thing last game, overlooking an obvious fact, as if there was no info available (wish I could remember what it was but I've blocked out like a bad war memory). Also when Crosby passes the puck to a defender on the PP, that is NOT "losing control of the puck". That's called a "giveaway". Errey was also an absolute idiot tonight. I swear he smokes dope before every game. "We don't even need to score on this PP; just puck management." Really Bob? As awful as our PP has been, we don't need to score / get some confidence going in that dept?

2. Another key D getting hurt. WTF! Can we please catch a break here, hockey Gods?

3. Mike Rupp on the PP

4. Disco's wet dream result. Two goals from Pascal "Sandpaper" Dupuis and Max "Grungmaster" Talbot. This will only encourage him to keep doing the same stupid **** even though it was a statistical aberration in the worst sort of way.

5. Refs - two games in a row now they've blown donkey balls. Way too many ticky tack crap calls in several games I've seen lately.

It might have been something to do w/ the Cole hit from back in the day. They never stopped booing the guy.

I thought Comrie had a decent game, handful of nice setups. Unfortunately for him, each one was into Godard's stick.

On a related note am I the only one that has noticed him get caught flatfooted at the blue line leading to partial or full breakaways 5 or 6 times so far this year? I didn't notice it this game, but it's something that needs to be fixed before you can really rely on him against top end scoring teams.

+ Pittsburgh fans standing and cheering the Pens for the last minute. They were awesome all night. That's great for an away game.

Honest question. Has Brent Johnson allowed one single bad goal this whole year? I seriously can't recall a single time where I felt like damn he should have had that. It's a nightly event with flower in net. It's so refreshing to watch a quality, fundamentally sound goalie.

He is hesitating. I think he wants to jump in the play but then gets stuck. That causes him to be flatfooted.

I think the team plays better in front of BJ just because they more confident withn him in net. They able to put the effort into getting the goals instead of trying to prevent them.
